Hiya guys,

Well Im coming down sunday morning with my Dad, sould be at Santa Pod by 10am.

Is there a plan for a proper meet, i.e. where we all line up together, or is it just going to end up being find each other on the day? If its the later, then i have a problem as i dont know what any of you look like as ive not attended a meet yet!

Im really keen to meet up with you guys and have a chat etc.

So will there be a list of whos coming? plnas on where/how to meet!

Cheers,

Mike

I'm keen to meet up - Toddington Services seems to be the popular choice. I'll be making my own way there as I don't pass that way.

I won't be going to Toddington Svc. as it isn't on my way. I plan to get to Santa Pod for 9:00am. Would be good if we could all park up together though.

Check out the Santa Pod website for directions. I believe you come off at Jct. 14 M1.

It would be shame to miss each other for want of not agreeing a meet!

I suggest we meet in what can loosely be described as the pits, but towards the top end of the strip just past the "new" cafe. for those who have not been before, this involves ignoring the car parks and driving round past the bottom of the start line. Just follow the road to where it ends (take right at the fork in the road). Hopefully this will be where we can meet.

I will be there in the green ute nice and early, so just come over, park up and say hi!

This is based on the fact that no one has coned off the area or anything else silly like that.

Does that sound OK to everyone????

Thats right!

When you get to the end of the road, it splits into two, the left side into the camping field, the right into a large gravelled area, which allows access to the pit area.

Oh, the cafe is near the original brick built toilet block.

Did think about meeting nearer the start line but it can get quite busy and we may not be able to park together there.

Booster,

As you enter Santa Pod the trip will be on your right. Follow the road all the way to the start line keeping the strip on your right & fields on the left. The road will curve round to the right & round the back of a grand stand. Follow this & it will take you to the other side of the strip... Theres a big brick toilet halfway along the strip & i believe the new cafe near this....

Thanks for that mcd. Just a couple of things to clear up though:

a) who is definately going

b) Can anyone bring a crash helmet as I think all our cars will be running >100 mph

Sorry SS_UTE, I'm coming from Banbury so I'll be going x-country via Milton Keynes. No motorways at all.

Really need a crash helmet tho. Does anyone have one that I could borrow for my run?

I'm still deciding whether to come along or not, no monaro or HSV for me though, just a piddly little micro clown car. So if you fellas agree not too laugh too much I'll be there..Will bring with me some old Street Machine and Wheels mags to give away if anyone is interested..Sorry Booster, can't help you with the helmet.
