One of a kind. God knows what the price is. I suspect upwards of £250k..

Sorry to be controversial (braces himself for onslaught), but doesn't it look a bit.....boring? from the outside at least?...What's that lip spoiler all about on the boot? No doubt the mechanical side of it is mind blowing, but for that money I'd want the car to shout about it!!! Just my 2p worth (can't afford any more with petrol prices as they are!!!)

Maybe a drive in it might change everyones mind...
Or will result in a trip to a sponsors workshop
it would need to be a drive that ended in a free session with Audrey Hollander and Guage to be worth close to 250k. At the end of te day it has no pedigree, no prestige is just a bloody fast monaro with no more credentials than that.Or will result in a trip to a sponsors workshop
I would rather buy an Aston and still have change left over to buy a small house than this thing.
Let's put this into an Australian perspective please. When the HRT 427 was launched at the Sydney Motor Show there was tremendous interest. The HRT branding was because the race team had a big input into the specification. Lots of customer deposits taken and it was sad when we took the decision due to cost grounds not to go ahead with the project. The car became iconic and the show car which had wishbone front suspension, roll cage, dry sump and Harrop inlet manifold was aquired by Holden and now stands in their display area at the headquarters entrance. The second car (this one) was the development car which we tested with Ohlins dampers was very fast around the Holden test tracks. This car aquired a value as the only one of two cars ever built. The styling was deliberately consertative. It's part of Australian car history.
Of course people will have a view on whether they like it but for Australians it has a value as a concept car that never materialised. I remember what we sold it for and it will be interesting to see if the owner can sell it on. After the project cancellation, such was the latent interest that the press never stopped asking us when we were going to resurrect the concept.
Phil.

Looks a bit like my Monaro
not like mine.......i got the upgraded version with the fake nostrils..... does this mean my car is worth £250,00.01+?
Apart from the Aussie history, can't really see what the fuss is about.
And those bonnet catches are cheap, and the paint has come off them.......
