I would do heads and cam myself. You will want a fast90 intake and TB as well, but you can do that later.
I think dart 205cc are good value, add a cam with no overlap at 0.050 and you should be good to go.
Target around 380rwhp, stock with exhaust, tune etc is normally just over 300rwhp.

If you want more, then you need to revisit your budget smile

Charger every time for me......
Centrifugal will be cheaper but the eaton valley type give a better push in the back and sound great.
Both are within your budget with the Centi at the lower end.
You`ll get a 112 type valley blower for less than your upper limit and there may be some cheaper one`s second hand if you can wait till one comes up.
If you want to go beyond 500ish hp in the future specify an intercooler if you can stretch to it.

Turbo(s) would be my choice over Superchargers anytime, the difference in both power delivery and power produced is huge. Monkfish have a Twin Turbo set up they might sell cheaply, worth a call to Roger or Andy. http://www.monkfishperformance.co.uk/

the problem with twin turbo is the power i have a 4l60 4 speed auto box and it doesnt take that much power to kill them and i think a twin turbo setup will kill it

maybe Mark could comment on here why he changed from doing the Vortech as standard to the Magnacharger? Is it a better product, was it cost, ease of supply?

Hi Robert,

The Vortech Blower kits are excellent and as you know I have fitted over 100+ kits with NO problems and excellent results, we also fit Magnacharger, Whipple, Roe Racing, Kenny Bell kits because each client has a specific requirement and budgets......therefore we offer choice.

The Vortech Kit Non-Intercooled is £ 3750.00 inc vat fitted and the Intercooled kit £ 6750.00 inc vat fitted....all mapped and dyno'd....Magnacharger kit Intercooled @ 9psi (Brand New) HH122 £5500.00 inc vat, fitting, remap and dyno report....

Cheers
Mark

I agree but good luck getting a Harrop/Maggie 112 fitted for 3.5k. Monkfish still charge £7k and Rapid £5.5k inc intercooler ! A second hand centrifugal blower like the Vortech is probably the way to go.

Possible but you'll need your fuelling set up or your engine will go bang.

Definately

I think you will need to go down the DIY lane. Too many variables for a shop to touch within your budget IMO.

Yes, you have higher octane and lpg works well with high compression so you have an additional safety margin built in. Now, how big a margin, that is the question. You'll still need to check fuelling and ignition advance for safe settings.

I would guess you won't be able to fit a valley blower with lpg because of the location of the injectors?

If the charger was fitted by yourself in your garage for example to save on the labour charges, then the car trailered to one of the tuning companies who could map the car would that be an option?

WPuk were selling ex demo 112`s at 3500ish fitted......
Be careful, the extra torque the 112 blower will produce may kill an auto. The centrifugal will suit more due to its slightly softer power delivery.

TT setups are just not proven yet IMO.

Valve duration at that lift point (in inches). Generally used to indicate practical duration rather than total duration.

If you compare durations at different valve lifts you get an idea of the shape of the lobe, (ie) Nice ramp or cliff face etc.
