Absolutely gob smacked, but not surprised! Hence no road-test when my car goes in.

lol, sorry I've been ill. Just got up for the first time this week. The thread has gotten more interesting since I last checked!

No new updates I'm afraid, Police came and took the videos and I haven't heard anything more. I'd be supprised if I did to be honest.

As for electric cars... I fancy a test drive in a Tesla!

just read the speed plod and the law forum. Talk about 'conspiracy theorists are us'. Very entertaining.

Hi folks - this has appeared as a story in the Mirror, thought I'd let you know.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/10/2...

Outrageous behaviour, stuart I would not be losing any sleep over the fate of the garage staff - can't imagine they'd have jumped to your defence if you ended up with a 125mph ticket.

Hope the police chuck the book at them.

As for jojones, what a spanner! Nothing better to do than ststir on an internet forum laugh What a joyless existance he must live...

we demand closure!

The journey was recorded on a gadget – costing about £300 – which sits on the car bonnet and records journey information.
On the bonnet? FFS you got yours mounted all wrong! I can see why you'd want it inside, ya know, to stop people stealing it, to keep water out of it etc, but if the Mirror says it goes on the bonnet, pah...... you've been shamed.

Of course, I'm sure that you drive around everywhere at the correct speed limit.....NOT!!!

Would be interesting to see if all the other files on your 'black box' were checked to see what a model driver you are???

Seems to me that you are just boasting about how fast your gas guzzler can go (shame on you with all the environment issues etc)! and also noticed a sponsor from roadhawk linked with video..how much you getting for that, I wonder????????????????

Remember mate, there are probably two sides to every story!!!

Get a life and buy an electric car lol
Are you for real?

I got one of these from these people http://www.transportcc.tv/latestnews.html

They do a two camera version for £315 and you can see who was driving with audio and GPS. Amazing quality, and none of the juddery images you see from the roadhawk version.

looks good, i'd much prefer a version without built in cameras though, let you install the unit somewhere hidden and have more discreet cameras.

the OP's unit appears to be set to record at 5fps which is acceptible for evidence/insurance reasons. You can set the fps to 30

By the way, if they haven't already - Roadhawk should definitely be refunding the OP for all the advertising he's given them!

Actually Roadhawk have very kindly refunded me the cost of the unit. Without being asked as well which think was very kind of them.

The juddery video is due to the software I used to convert the basic video for Youtube. If you look at the high quality video that roadhawk added to my youtube video you can see what it's really like.

How did they do that then ? They don't automatically get a copy of it do they ? Or did you send them a copy of the vid that was taken in the car ?
