that will be the reason she didn't come up for the Scottish meet, you had the car long and whats she bought now ?Another great weekend- big thanks to Dougie and his team, as well as Javelin.
Chuffed to bits to come runner up in Class D again. I've achieved my goal of 170+mph NA in a mile. I just need to find another 1mph to beat Ringram and his car and re-take the title
Next year looks good for a competitive win in Class E.

I'd like to echo the above comments, it was my first time at Thunder Road and I had a fantastic day. Thanks to all at VXR, Javelin and Kendrew Barracks for organising.
Will definitely be back next year - got to hit 140mph!
Will definitely be back next year - got to hit 140mph!
That's the spirit.
When I first went, plenty of people were getting frustrated that they were hitting the 155 limiter. Now look, more than a handful were in the 170's!
Set your goal, and work towards it. I've hit my 150 target, so that's it for me. I'll still go and play because I like the event, but I'm not looking for another goal - I don't think.
I don't know where you are, but are you free next Saturday, for the meet at Elite (Bordon), or the week after at 007's (Chatham)?
I set myself a target this year to get mid 150's having found out the car had a 149 mph limit last year.
I managed to go slightly better than my estimate with a 157.30mph, So I was over the moon at that.
I also did some data logging to see how it was running and also see if the OTRCAI actually works.
Start line IAT was 60c, at 100 meters the IAT had dropped to 30c and just before the mile marker it was running 28c.
So it looks like the Walkinshaw branded OTRCAI does a good job of dropping the IAT to just under half
in my case.
Dale.

Once you get moving in NA I guess the air intake temp will drop no matter what the intake is but when I got the VCM OTR intake I got a good improvement also.
With the intake straight over the radiator I think I have seen 20-30 mbar of pressure gain on a ~100 mph test which explains some of the gains.
Woodbridge 2013 - stock LS3 with walky exhaust = 152
Woodbridge 2014 - VCM intake = 156 on the limiter for last second or two.
Kendrew 2016 - Same as before but maybe up hill a bit? = 155 and possibly just got onto the limter.

Our first two runs are identical mph according to the list posted elsewhere. With the intake straight over the radiator I think I have seen 20-30 mbar of pressure gain on a ~100 mph test which explains some of the gains.

Just to add my thanks to Dougie, Colin and the teams that went to all the effort to arrange this event. And thanks to Kendrew Barracks for letting us use their facilities for the day.
The weather was lovely all day long, the food was great, the competition was great, people were great. Awesome event.
Can't wait till next year!

Cheers to you lot for coming along
I'd like to say the same to you, but if you weren't there I wouldn't of been stranded on the link road with no keys in the ignition. Thanks for putting the event on. I did thank the VXR and Javelin staff before I left, and also thanks the base commander at the exit gate.
BTW, did you get my e-mail via Pistonheads, or is the damned thing messing about again?
