Awesome thread - awesome car.
Especially like the finished boot - but have to ask - where are all the subwoofers?
Good point. However, the original spec required that space be left to carry the groceries....Especially like the finished boot - but have to ask - where are all the subwoofers?

What width out of interest are you going to fit on the rear then to control this monster, Ive just squeezed 10"x20's onto mine but Ive not got the Coupe 4 arches so I rolled mine out a fraction.
not sure, thinking about mini tubbing it - I guy in Oz did this and it looks good.Harryoz said:

How did I miss this thread!
Its some seriously exciting stuff. I especially love the big fuel tank. Back in Oz, it was de rigeur to put a 100l+ "drop tank" in the back of your Commodore. If you had had a ferkin great 140l with half of it hanging below the bumper of your VS, it was seriously cool. Unbeleivably, it became such a fashion accessory, that companies started making shrouds (mock-ups) that could be fitted around your standard tank!
But I digress, all this talk of twin turbos and cutting holes in bonnets reminded me of some pictures I found a while back. So long ago actually that I hope it wasnt HERE that I actually found them.
Looks like it might be relevant though to this thread and its from WA - so it must be good
Make of these what you will, I know nothing about the story behind them.

Week 23
A good day today.....
Over the last two weeks all the bits and pieces made it back into the car. Roger decided to start the engine with the stock plenum on to limit the number of factors in case it woudln't start. Of course a stock plenum wont fit LS7 heads . So to continue this approach required an LS7 plenum and do you think there are many in the UK? Roger was able to source one off a contacts car (many thanks) and with a few minor fixes it made it on (minus idle control valve and inlet temp sensor).
Exhaust system below (cats only and no silencers for the moment)
Small hiccup with the LS7 manifold as it runs one fuel line and not two, so the fuel setup on the car wasn't going to work without further modification. A temporary fuel supply was setup (cue fuel pump from busted Porsche, jerry can, battery and hose), and voila..
turn up the volume!

Man, its sounds sooo tough. Who needs silencers!
Next job is to fit the modified plenum, tidy a few things up and adjust the bonnet.
