You really need a battery cover after doing all that other stuff
I'm hoping to relocate it at some point this year, so trying to avoid purchasing stuff I'll end up not using. Now if you'd said pedders strut brace, I may have asked you do you have any in stock I could pick up before leaving for Le Mans on Thursday?

I mentioned a supercharger to the wifey and even she said it would be wasted on me. There really is no hope.
Seriously (please) , should I get the covers sprayed?
PS. Have a look in jameshsv's engine bay at the weekend, there's chickens roosting in there
and when i checked the oil i found a dead rat inbetween the headers.Seriously (please) , should I get the covers sprayed?

Or relocate the battery.Might save you some headaches further down the road if you decide to go down this route.

Be warned on a really hot day or a long time spent in traffic a relocated battery sometimes doesn't have enough power to crank the engine. I've suffered this and the solution is to run duel cables from the battery to the engine bay.

Oh really? I'd not heard about that, will bear in mind Might save you some headaches further down the road if you decide to go down this route.

Useful to know as having a VT not a Monaro I have boot space to spare. Might save you some headaches further down the road if you decide to go down this route.

Just run big power cables to the rear and you shouldn't have an issue, can't remember the recommend gauge as the Americans reported similar issues
22 - 30 guage i would guess.but you should also fit a more powerful battery why your at it that way any loss in the wire does not take min current / voltage away.

Roger tells me my cable is plenty thick enough but still not enough to cope with the temps in the engine bay - I may be a special case as I have one of my turbos sitting right next door to the starter motor but you've been warned....SturdyHSV said:

Zero stock sadly. But the batt covers are only £3.80
