Had a little chuckle at petrol station today, chap watched me pull up as he was filling his new Mondeo, I noticed his head shake, anyhow just as I was popping a drop of fuel in, he chirped up, "bet you get sick of feeding that thing"..... I replied, "nah it's cheaper to run than your Mondeo mate", he got nasty and shouted "bullst, how can it knob head?", politely I replied, "do the maths, I bet your Mondeo cost you twice as much as this did me, currently yours is losing a good £300+ a month depreciation, plus you've probably got finance, mines not depreciating, I ain't got finance so just fuel and that's not £300 a month Einstein"
. He didn't reply.......

That's pretty funny.. He didn't reply.......
I get asked how many miles to the gallons does it do? I just usually reply no idea I just keep putting fuel in it, if I wanted something economical I would buy a push bike.
5.7 litre and supercharged, yeah sure I was thinking about fuel economy when I bought it, yeah right.
Don't get me started on folk like this. All these idiots that reckon they're saving the planet by purchasing/leasing a new 'economical' car. Even funnier is those that claim its going to save them money!:Depreciation anyone?
Anyone with half a brain can surely figure that the whole manufacturing process required in designing and building a new car is far more damaging than running and maintaining a perfectly serviceable car that already exists. Regardless of engine size, especially EVs and their special batteries.
If they want a new car, fine get one, but stop pretending its got owt to do with saving the planet!

Well if it makes you feel any better/worse someone called my camaro an Aston
I think you did OK with that one. I love Astons from the early 70's through to the late 80's. Oddly I really don't like them after that period. I remember reading an article (back in the day) that said, Camaros were styled with a European GT flavour so you never know.

To be fair, the Monaro is a little like a fat Calibra!
My Auntie reckoned my Ro is much like her old Hyundai coupe (she loved that car so a compliment?).
The Volvo comment? Yeah, lost for words!
And today at elvington, straightliners event, it happened....... My Auntie reckoned my Ro is much like her old Hyundai coupe (she loved that car so a compliment?).
