Another lucky Monaro owner If you're impressed by the car in standard form, you'll be blown away by a modded one!

I'm not far from Stortford - I live in Stansted Mountfitchet. Might try and meet you at Charvills, I have a silver 04 CV8.

Took my brother in law out in the Monaro this afternoon whilst the family was at the Ma in laws.

He drives a Volvo estate normally, 2 kids, that sort of thing.

He loved it.

I didn't smoke it anywhere 'cos people can get a bit freaky about cars wiggling all over the place (and I've not got the hang of that yet ) but I did gun it in 2nd, 3rd & 4th.

He actually whooped!

Caught him eyeing the car wistfully as we left.

Went to a car show at Bishops Stortford yesterday (before going to the Outlaws - life is just sooo hectic)

Went with Damo and there were 2 Monaros together, plus we saw another red '05 one drive past Charvills when we met there.

[quote]Very nice, Booster has some competition for the best paintwork!

Car looks good but I'll bet it's covered in swirls (Vauxhall inflicted damage with dirty shamois lol)
Anyone want their car cleaned properly?! (and I mean properly) Open to calls at reasonable rates!

Zaino is great stuff (they seem to love it on the ls1 gto forum). The secret to a great finish is 90% preparation and 10% product.

We must meet soon I can persuade you to change your diff (seriously good mod - possibly the best I have done) and you can show me your polishing tool. Got loads of swirls. I work pretty hard to keep mine clean and use all the meguiars stuff nut on black paint...

Your car must go like crazy now. It was seriously quick at Silverstone! Diff mod sounds too expensive for me. I haven't even had the headers done yet! Funds are low so anyone wanting a decent detail of the car let me know so I can save for the next mod!! Need brakes too BTW.

Nothing wrong in the sense of mechanical failures. It is a mod as the styandrad diff is highly geared which blunts the acceleration.

Just had a RR session with Wortec today and the results are pretty impressive. Last week it was clocked at approx 4.6 secs to 60 and the same level of performance carries on...and on and on!

Changing teh diff is felt to be equivalent to adding circa another 50BHP so I am told. I can well believe it.

Booster - it is a lot quicker now than Silverstone!

The standard diff was designed to get ya from Woollomollo to Wangaratta via Wagga Wagga without having to stop for fuel too often.

The fuel consumption is not that bad! The various tunes and other mods seemed to improve the fuel consumption - the diff has pegged it back again a bit but still get circa 28/30 at motorway cruise speeds (legalish ones of course)

Know what you mean gto but over here theer are petrol stations every 20 miles or so - as long as there are no idiot spanic buying!
