I'm still deciding whether to come along or not, no monaro or HSV for me though, just a piddly little micro clown car. So if you fellas agree not too laugh too much I'll be there..Will bring with me some old Street Machine and Wheels mags to give away if anyone is interested..Sorry Booster, can't help you with the helmet.
Promise not to laugh! Hope to see you there!

Been speaking to the guys on MIG web.... many of them have run 100mph plus runs, indeed, looking back i ran 104mph and 106mph in my cossie a few years back.. None of the MIG webbers have had any issues running 100mph plus without a helmet... the rules say you need one but they dont usually enforce it unless your open top or top fuel etc....

I had actually forgotten that i ran 100plus in the cossie, only noticed when looking through pics!

Im just going to run minus helmet... see what happens.

Brian, you can borrow mine if they do decide to enforce it.

Great. Thanks Roger. What's the best time to turn up to avoid disapointment?

I think you can sign on at 9 but racing starts at 10. It will get busier by lunchtime, but who knows how busy? I hoping not too busy as its late september now.

Good to see some of you at Santa Pod today, some for the first time, and being able to put a face to the forum names.

Commiserations to those who could not get signed on for racing, owing to the huge numbers of people, a real shame. I have never seen the signing on point close before!!!

Chatting later to some of the regular racers before i went home, times were genrally down 0.4 to 0.5 secs owing to the strong headwind, which explains the lower than expected times.

And thanks to Stu for arranging to bring the maloo - just so i could dribble over it!

Must do it again, but when its less busy!!
