Forget Gumball etc.

We need Death Race 2008, with all the politicians, road "safety" campaigners, and tree huggers lined up on the roads.

Wonder who would get the most points ?

Sorry guys just got to say it !!

We are all driving around in an uneconomical car. If petrol cost was to be an issue we all had the choice. Having said that, have just been from whitstable to richmond today, prices from 102.9 to 99.9, you guessed it I did the 99.9p. But amounts to £1.65p on a fill up ! so given that a few weeks ago petrol was 96 - 97p a litre the cost has gone up by £3.30 a fill up. So my cunning plan is to buy only imported tobacco from now on, thus reducing my contribution to the nations gordon brown holiday fund !!!!! I should really get out more..................

It's the point of principle that bothers me, I never expected the Monaro to be cheap to run but I see no rason why I should pay 50% of my annual salary to the Government when all they do is waste it and ask for more money. Given the option I would pay no tax and finance my kids through private education, pay for BUPA and empty my own bins. Why should the fat, useless tosser put fuel up by another 2p in April just because he feels like it? It's my money Gordon, I earned it, now off!

Try actually running a business and employing people!
You basically cant sack anyone for being useless you have to retrain them, because its your fault they are useless because you put them under pressure and didnt give them enough flexitime and free training etc!
Its a miracle anyone manages to make any money.
Better to just go on the dole and get a free council house as thats what the government is encouraging everyone to do. In fact better yet import loads of foreign lazy sods too because there are still people paying tax we have to buy houses for everyone who is too lazy to work.
[/rant]

Of course if we dont like it we can leave.. oh yeah I forgot, hundreds of thousands do every year ..

The communist government! Thats who I blame

At least if you run your own business you can claim dividends...except I think the rate is now 32.5% ?

I love living in the south of England where the roads are clogged & the house prices/cost of living is ridiculous. As 40% tax payer on PAYE, I feel happy to pay more tax than a lot of people earn!

Seriously though, I don't mind paying for a socialist society up to a point but when the Chavs start moaning because they can't fit their 15 illegitimate kids into their free 4 bed council house and have no money to pay for Lambert and Butler, it pisses me off. If some of these people listened at school and worked hard they too could look forward to life's pleasures. This Government is breeding a nation of lazy, useless spongers.

Hear bloody hear! It seems though they CAN afford the fags and booze we buy them, around here anyway. As an employer I have been forced to employ Polish workers through an agency which is more expensive than using local labour. Why? Because the locals cant be bothered to turn up. The record for the shortist term of employment I reckon is when some local herbert arrived at 8am and was last seen disappearing down the road at 5 past. Its all been made to easy for them to dodge an honest days graft.mad

about 2 months ago I bumped into another Monaro owner at the fish and chip shop in Tankerton and told him about this place which he already knew about. Since neildockrell has a previous post describing the event in question I made the presumption that it is the same person.
And the chippy has since swopped premises with the place next door, which confuses everyone the first time they go back since change.

Better?
