2014 Thunder Road confirmed Sat 9th August Woodbridge
Discussion
Interestingly the auto in 5th at 6800 gives 192mph which is probably a good setup.
I suspect my standard gearing will mean my top speed will be determined by how well mine carries bhp at higher rpm. 243* exhaust duration might help. We will see..
Leather, does your monaro have heads as well? The cam sounds similar to what the fish use(d)

Hmm, yeah so gearing is key. I see Gareth is likely to be on the ball there. No doubt he will register much the same this time too.According to calcs 185 is doable with around 520bhp and CD of 0.32 not sure over what distance though.
So should be interesting to log the run anyway. Oh which reminds me anyone wanting to log their run Ill bring efilive so I can log and email them to you afterwards. The software is available to view the logs for free. Might be of interest to some. That will let you see intake temps, engine temps, spark timing, knock retard, manifold pressure, airflow through the engine as well as g/cyl, rpm vs road speed, etc, etc..

I'd like to take you up on the offer of logging some of my runs please According to calcs 185 is doable with around 520bhp and CD of 0.32 not sure over what distance though.

Yep ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I may not be launching super-aggressively though, not looking to break anything (got to get home after!).

I'll have mine there too, although my OBDII cable is difficultly-threaded through the centre console...if anyone has a spare cable I'm happy to share According to calcs 185 is doable with around 520bhp and CD of 0.32 not sure over what distance though.

No - completely stock mate. I was thinking of going bigger, but at that time I decided that I'd put my resources in to the ute and try to keep the Monaro as well mannered as possible. On a mainline dyno it put down 264rwkw back in 2005. That was the last time she ever went on a dyno in truth, not that dyno sheets tell the full story as we all know. But from that cam upgrade I gained 25 rwkw, but a lot more torque as well.ringram said:
