Cleaned the car ready tonight and paid Mr Brown lots of tax at the petrol pump! Battery was a bit lethargic so it may be knackered. Will bring the jump leads just in case, my brother can help with his V12 - no time to sort. Any of you guys recommend a good battery for a GTS-R?

Oh by the way the opportunity to see so many V8s has caused a bit of a stir amongst my pertol head friends so we may have a car full, sorry!

Yeah it was a great meet. It was really good to meet everyone, and was a nice turn out. Lots of nice cars on show, lots of noise, and I'm sure we woke up half of Westerham at one point. I will be interested to see the video of that.

Thanks to Neil for organising. I'm looking forward to the next one. Lets try and squeeze one in whilst there is still sunshine, and on a weekend so I can get some of that carvery action. yum

Pics coming soon.

Thanks to all the boys for turnng up. Ten motors was a really good turn out for the first meet! Special thanks to Ed The Switch for making our ears bleed. Top Boy. We've got to get on the beer next time so ideas on a postcard. Apparently Ed's back down The Grasshopper tomorrow night in his transit, so if anyone else fancies it, me, Mark and Ed will see you down there!! Special big up for the man from Leicester who is probably still driving home. To the rest of you, you missed a good un and you must get down to the next one if you can. I like the idea of bringing other halves and getting them to drive home. Thought we all got on and looking forward to the next one. Cheers - Neil & Mark

No worries. I'm sure we'll meet again and I'll pester you for a ride in it then. Very nice motor.

Shame Harryoz couldn't make it. I was dying to witness the legend of the twin turbo devil yellow. Maybe next time.

Good meet guys.
Didn't get a chance to meet everyone there as food beckoned (only just made the carvery in time though eh...much to the obvious delight of the staffwink )

Another one soon while the sun lasts...
Hopefully see some of you at the Pod in a couple of weeks weather holding.

I mentioned to some of the boy's last night. I used RJJ Shipping in Felixtowe to make the arrangements to ship it RO-RO form Auckland to Southampton. Unfortunately it took 3 months to get here, but only cost me around £1500 including insurance. Container would have been six weeks but around £2000, but didn't want to take the risk of it being dropped or whatever, so had to wait. BTW Great exhaust noise on your VXR8, especially with the by pass!!!!

Guys thanks for making me, my brother and mates very welcome last night. It was great to see those Oz beauties lined up together. I will get Simon to pass the photos on and down load some of them here. We spent a good day at the Motorshow today nice white VXR8, couple of Corvettes but loads of unbelievable totty. What more could you want?

I spoke to one of the guys on the Vauxhall stand and he is a marshall at Silverstone. Now they have lost the GP they have been talking to the V8 Supercar Championship organisers and he thinks that we may well see a UK round in the next couple of years - rock on!

Also the VXR Insignia will be released in June next year. Likely to have a 2.8 V6.

By the way, my mate Simon and I are professionally trained pyrotechnicians (a hobby) we could organise a firework display for one of the meets. Maybe November/December?
