It was merely a statement of fact. Your post read as though the N/A stuff was on top! There is no doubt a good N/A set-up can be a quick car,(indeed, second fastest N/A was one we did) but it remains a fact that the top 5 have always been FI. The difference between 170 and 180 mph is pretty big. I await the N/A car that can do 180. If it does, im pretty sure it wont be a good all round daily drive.
Ive been a few times before and competed before. I know exactly what happens.
You are right, i havn't factored in cost. Not sure where that comes into it? It will cost less to go 165 than 185.
The FI /NA debate is pointless.
The FI/NA debate got fuelled by 2 VXR8's, both Monkfish cars, ran the closest against each other than most cars on the day...LS2 supercharged+trimmings vs LS3 cam+trimmings...both just short of 167.Ive been a few times before and competed before. I know exactly what happens.

The other option Dougie is to look at having a few Vboxes which people can use throughout the day? That way you'd capture 0-60, 0-100 and VMAX.
Or there was a few there at the weekend Im sure you lot could swap around yourselves during the free practise in the afternoon ???If that was organized and an appropreiate laptop was onsite to retrieve run data could we have leader boards for 0-60 and 0-100 times etc?

It's true we could

Good idea If that was organized and an appropreiate laptop was onsite to retrieve run data could we have leader boards for 0-60 and 0-100 times etc?
Im sure one of our Many Many IT people with Laptop experience on the forum could sort for us.
Trust me you wouldnt want a GM Laptop as we would still be their a year later trying to upload.

this would show the true difference between na and fi If that was organized and an appropreiate laptop was onsite to retrieve run data could we have leader boards for 0-60 and 0-100 times etc?
as some cars will reach there vmax before the mile marker.
also not everyone has nodded there car for tr, so hard to compare top speed results and say that someone has wasted thousands of pound on there pride and joy!

You provide the leader boards (and trophies ) and between the rest of us we'll ensure there are vboxes and a laptop next year to capture the extra stats if people are interested in doing so.

I cant say I saw any that were modded PURELY with TR in mind. All cars I saw were full going road cars just there too see what they did. That too me is as good a comparison as you will get.Again, I personally am not saying the FI guys have wasted money and the results speak for themselves. The FI cars won and to some that's all that matters. To others its the cost it took to win VS the margin they won by

I'll probably change cam and valvetrain over the winter so I can see power peak at 7000rpm with headroom

I was changing up at 7k with standard rockers. Dont want to move the limiter any higher though. (At the moment)https://www.sendspace.com/file/38yle3

Don't do that Dougie, you'll end up with some numpty staying in for an extra few mph and falling off.Maybe only have the leader boards for the 0-60 and 0-100 times, not sure if the vbox captures 1/4 mile stats but if it does then feature those instead .
