Cheers Vauxhall, fk you Javelin you useless bunch of s who can't even fking count. Not gonna bother with any of the Javelin events again as they are so fking useless. They had one job....
That is disgusting. It's a fun event and you are acting like a spoilt brat. If that is how you behave then I'm glad you won't be at future Javelin events that I attend. It does seem a little odd.
Some saying speed and results are spot on....one person saying otherwise ?
Given some power numbers reported recently..surprise nobody cracked 180....heck...surprised 190 wasnt broken.
I've been to many many events where timing gear etc isnt working...so I very much know it happens. But usually it's for most or all people taking part...not just one.
Also why I datalog extensively and also have a VBox. I will never be at an event where I'm totally reliant on organisers giving me accurate times !! It's happened far too often before.

Someone else had a timing failure, as Colin from Javelin came across, checked that they didn't see a time posted, then apologised and told them that the starters had been informed that there was a failed run for that car and it could go again.
Steve, the lack of feedback with their new system needs addressing. There's no scoreboard, as there used to be so nobody knows any run times except the competitors until the full results are posted.
If Javelin do read this, then maybe a relayed speed-board could be set up in the spectator area, as there used to be on the old caravan at Woodbridge. It would make it more interesting for supporters as others could then see, and verify results.

Comments about no times or scores available until the end, does seem beyond ridiculous. There really is no excuse for that. It's hardly a secret racing system !!Steve, the lack of feedback with their new system needs addressing. Also thanks to everyone who gave me a push today. My Sunday will be spent trying to sort out the starter motor!
I was expecting you to turn down-hill just to give us a fighting chance with the push - not go straight on across the car park. I'm very glad others came to help or we might still be there - and that your car caught straight away.

I feel completely robbed of what was my fastest run of the day. A day I paid good money to a supposedly professional company in which theere were prizes awarded of which I could potentially have got second place spending on the decimal places. A couple of videos I took yesterday.

Looks like you need to be changing your forum handle again Mate? There's nothing worse than a sore loser! (I'm happy I wasn't there)
Anyway going by your criteria you still haven't beaten me. I did a 186 in a knackered 2002 GTS with an old LS2 and an MF tune.
FFS get over yourself!!!
Mud your post sounds like the usual post TR FI excuse list ;-) Good that you enjoyed yourself though, peeps tend to forget its supposed to be a fun day out.

It's all pub numbers at the end of the day. If you love your car then just enjoy it
Must admit if I had just spent a fortune on an 800bhp LSA GTS i would be pissed off being beaten by an Astra VXR.
but initial takeup, headwind and air temps can make a small / big difference. That's why people shouldn't get too stressed about it
By all means blame Javelin if you feel the need but it's not Vauxhalls fault

Yup! NA no fear though, and the weather was spot on My numbers were pretty crap though all considered (I went 160mph 3 years ago with probably 50hp less with the 3.46 diff)...but my tune's better for it, and I've got some bits to look at

Don't sweat it Barny, I've got a 1st place TR trophy you can have if you really want one? No need to be slagging off VX and Javalin on what is after all a very subsidised day out. If you don't believe me, check out the price of Vmax 200 for comparison.
I wouldn't have got 1st anyway, so no worries. Not got an issue with Vauxhall, but running these events is javelins bread and butter and they shouldn't mess up the one job they have. Do people seriously think my final run was 130mph? That isn't even out of 4th. Can people really not understand why I am not happy? This is the way I speak irl, and if people have a problem with that then they can fk right off. This years event was a mess and that lies solely on Javelin. HappyMidget said:

The sad reality is, if you're going to attend events like that, get used to it. It shouldnt happen, but it does happen.Buy a VBox and then you'll always have your own data.
Javelin have looked into all the data from the day. Data that is automatically fed into the results database.
Only one car throughout the event registered the speed of 286KPH. That was VXR8lady.
Javelin advise you are more that welcome to put a reasoned written case to admin@thunderroad.co.
They will then, given that opportunity, will provide a professional and reasoned response to you rather than further internet ranting.
Please note that, for whatever reason, you did not complete all of your 5 runs so I think personally you should have taken all the chances you had to get your best result.
