Thats very cheap !. The actual percentage...harder to say. The flex fuel sensors seem to be a little inaccurate in some regards. I seen a guy posting on another forum about proper race VP E85 he bought, yet his flex fuel was telling him it was only around 65%
Some of the yanks buy proper testing kits very cheap which seem to be more reliable.
I've seen places offer E100 for sale, for heating burners etc...no idea if all ethanols are the same though.
For me not worth the hassle experimenting with stuff like that. Pump+meth has worked for me for a long time even at silly boost.
Exactly, and that is why I make the short drive to go get some. I remember being at the pump in France filling up about 20 gallons worth in the boot when the police showed up. I look at them and continue to fill up as normal with no questioning on their part. They were there for the ethanol too .Some of the yanks buy proper testing kits very cheap which seem to be more reliable.

I plan on purchasing an analyzer kit because as you said, those flex fuel sensors can lack accuracy.

At the end of the day...the sensor just needs to give repeatable results.I plan on purchasing an analyzer kit because as you said, those flex fuel sensors can lack accuracy.
Although some testing on youtube does seem to show that the electronic sensors are heavily skewed by moisture in the fuel. Of course there shouldnt be moisture in the fuel...but that's another matter.
Of note, if you add methanol to the fuel as opposed to ethanol, the sensor seems to report in the same manner, so it can be used in that way too

1155hp at the wheels, 1320hp estimated at the engine, that's not bad from a forged LSA.
Same spec as what I have now, wonder how much it would cost to swap my blower for a TT setup? Evil thoughts!!!

If you need some ideas I will be there in late March for the Fast Show. I can take you for a ride on pump fuel (98 RON). If you would like to see what it feels like on 1200+ then I just ask that you supply the ethanol (1.90 per litre). That's a kind offer, thanks. Do I also supply my own clean underwear? Seriously, never been before but it's around my birthday so I might check it out.

I'm sure it's been said before, but what do you make on pump gas?
Not sure my guess is near 900-1000. Didn't have a chance to dyno on pump fuel yet. It runs 5-6 psi less and 4 degrees less timing. On my pump fuel map it left a new supercharged 5.0 mustang standing still. He made 640hp on the same dyno, same day I did mine.Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
