Superb thread, I'm on page 14 now.....
I used to have an i200 Manta, which was a peach, and then one with a Rover V8 in, which was a dog, so I suppose the Monaro was a natural progression. I could get the wants for this one when its finished though :-)

Sorry for my ignorance, but as I'm an "aussie import", will someone tell me what a Manta is??? With HSV in my veins & being from Oz, when I here the word Manta, I picture the VP HSV commodore with the huge body kit - the HSV Manta. (after all, this is a HSV forum)

Hi Trev,
There were 2 of us in Lower Halstow, me and Nigel. As far as I know mine was a Steve Thomson car, it was originally supplied by them but it didn't have the blitz interior. Apparently the last ones didn't because they ran out. The only problem with having 2 such distinctive cars in the same village was getting blamed for the other one's stunts :-)

Two rare cars in such a small village, amazing! I remember Nigel, he was (probably still is) a nutter!! in the nicest way of course! I remember going for a ride in his i200 and wow! the guy was mad! what made it worse was the fact that mine was a proper LHD version and I was sitting on the side of the car that I normally drove from!
We will all have to get together sometime, all us Medway Towns/Sittingbourne Holden people.
