Snapped spring

Hello all,
I have a Monaro VXR LS2.
I noticed yesterday that my front driver side spring has snapped.
I think the suspension is all standard. I don't really want to lower it so I'm thinking of just getting replacement springs.
Should I change anything at the same time? I thought the top mount bushes are common for failing?
Does the Fish sell standard springs, according to their website, it 'Low, or extreme' etc....
I'll give them a call - I just wondered if anyone knew?

I reckon that Monkfish have a shed full of s/h standard springs that you can take your pick from. The original ones are perfectly good, but fashion dictates that people want to go lower.
I usually replace in pairs, but have recently had it suggested that the springs are worked at different rates from the day they are fitted, as it's rare that a pothole stretches across the road, so why not just replace one at a time?

Those are mine - think the vxr ones are different. When my springs needed doing I elected to do the dampers too, at 10 years old they couldn't be far behind. Might as well do the top mounts and associated bearings too, and potentially drop links, tie bars, etc. Hell, throw in a road response pack if you haven't already...Sorry to hear about the spring break, roads are crap at the moment, best to replace both but if your original suspension has covered over 35K miles then I would seriously think about replacing with a pedders low set up, you will be amazed how much better than standard it will be, but the downside is £1200 cost inc fitting and set up, but in my opinion, its well worth it

I did this and transformed my car. Did it diy too and was hard work but worth it. I would say, get some pedders std dampers put on when changing the springs. I had the pedders dampers put on as one of the std was leaking and they gave a brilliant difference in road feel and confidence. The standard dampers are really bad on the ro, I'd recommend this change (after the exhaust of course). No real height change (as I have enough issues with my front bumper.....lol) although Roger did ask if I wanted to tweak it at the time.
