FAST LSXR arrives....with no throttle body :-(
Discussion
So with the headers and heads waiting patiently in the garage, all that was left to arrive from the good old US was my intake and throttle body.
So having paid the duty you can imagine how I felt to be greeted by a big brown box as I walked in the door: Christmas had arrived early. Now I feel like the kid with no batteries on Christmas morning, as the box only contained the FAST intake. The Customs packaging clearly states that this is all that's in the box and the eBay order lists the part numbers, so all should be well.
Fingers crossed that the guys in Memphis believe in good customer service...

Just had an email from the supplier providing tracking details of a second parcel
Hopefully you wont get stung for duty, as presumably you've just paid duty for everything ?The issues I've had with customs lately would make your blood boil.

You can reclaim it, if they do charge it. If they contact you before clearing it, you could ask them to complete a C6 diversion entry, which gives details of the original entry on which duty and VAT has been paid.
They held goods for no reason, asked bloody stupid questions. Eventually I got the goods delivered obviously on a guilt trip by UPS before any duties were paid. Now they've sent an invoice some time later requesting an amount that a maths a primary school child could work out better.
Or has VAT risen to 25% recently ?
The annoying thing is, it isnt the first time they have deliberately and fraudulently tried to charge extra.
Now it is possible the staff never did maths at school, and they are genuine mistakes. But in that line of work....making a mistake like that IMO is gross misconduct and should face immediate dismissal.
The only positive is that I have the goods and they are not being held to ransom.
