Battery replacement advice
Discussion
Oops in my haste forgot to say what car, sorry my bad! 05 CV8...went for a silver type 075 in the end as it already had that type. They were fairly helpful. Probably paid 30 more than if it wasn't Sunday and I needed it then. 5 yr guarantee thou. Starting is a bit more positive now as well so all good.
Not the greatest start to a hungover morning...
Anyway, thanks for the replies!

027 is the correct size not 096. 027 fits correctly against the bump in the battery tray.
Lead acid batteries are much of a muchness really, don't be taken in by fancy names such as silver dynamic etc. Don't like being stood around so a freshly made cheap one will be better than a fancy one which has been sat around.
I replaced my first original with a Varta which still failed after a couple of years, probably due to a more intermittent pattern of use. After some hassle I got a refund against the warrantee from the mail order supplier.
3rd one bought a Yuasa as it was one of the cheapest on eBay and the photo showed it to be exactly the same shape as the original, slightly taller than the usual 027. Actual battery supplied was the more usual 027.
