Another bonnet problem thread (VXR8)
Discussion
Hi Mikee,
I know when I was trying to work out what was going on with mine, when I pulled the release in the cabin I had someone look through the grill to see what was going on.
When I pulled the release they could see and hear the cable working at the bonnet latch.
Perhaps there is an issue with your cable or maybe its stretched but thats just a guess?
Maybe as a last resort and at your own risk , put a long screwdriver through the grill and apply pressure to the cable for that little bit of extra force?

I'd occassionally get this with my old Senator & would need someone else to push down on the bonnet whilst I pulled the release handle which then did the job. Was then able to adjust the release catch.
This! Did the trick.Catch all gunked up, cleared out and lubricated and seems to be ok now.
Cheers.
