I didn't measure the amount of bump steer before and after - having trawled through the forum there seemed to be several people that have done this (e.g. on Tuscans) and I think that was enough evidence for me. I did ensure that the steering arm ended up parallel to the lower wishbone arm and also noted that with the car on level ground the lower wishbone was parallel with the road. This, I assumed would be a significant improvement.

Took the car out this morning for the first proper run and no obvious bumpsteer - the car feels stable over bumps and you don't need to hang onto the steering wheel for grim life anymore. I also found when doing the mod that camber was out by 1 degree on one side at the front (positive instead of negative) so correcting this could also only have helped.

Car feels great on roundabouts at speed! woohoo
