Sounds like an M12 Tamora swap might be on the cards next summer then (obviously with a small suitcase of beer tokens thrown in )

My car probably won't be fully run in by the 31st but provided my boss will let me leave work early i'm gonna try and make it.

Other option is the Gran Turismo circuit at the Bedford Autodrome at the end of August. Be interesting to see how the 2 cars stack up, on paper they look very close.........

Well, I'm up for either so let me know which one you will be doing. Benno is up for it too so we could have some fun...

Looking forward to another go in an M12..... I really liked the last one I drove... and believe me there isn't a lot in it, both cars should be very close...

I did an emergency-ish stop from 154 ->approx 85 (on a private road, obviously) and the Tamora squirmed a bit but maintained a straight line, and didn't dive, nor did the rear bias on the brakes, which some have mentioned, seem to come into play - maybe I don't know what rear-biased brakes feel like?

I found it quite interesting reading the comments on the Tamora in this months EVO compared with previous articles. In particular the comment about the different chassis setup to accomodate the 18in wheels. Now as far as I was aware, and this is straight from the factory when I ordered mine, there are NO setup changes, just a different set of wheels. Either EVO had it changed, TVR tried to improve the setup for the article or its a load of b*ll*cks ! Guess they have to sell mags somehow

in autocars handling day last year they complained of it being twitchy and nervous and that was on 16 inch wheels, although it was a pre production model

Guys

I have to confess that i'm reading your threads cos the Noble board is v quiet as usual

I'll be taking my M12 on a few track days over the coming months and wondered whether any of you would be at Silverstone on the 31st or had any other track days lined up so that i can check out the Tam ?

I had a Chim 450 up until about 6 months ago and think i'm gonna need another "wind in the hair" car by next summer . By the sounds of you guys the Tamora might fit the bill !

PS I'm in the BedsBucks area if any of you go hooning around here ?

I'm thrashing mine around the Bedford Autodrome 10th Aug after one of those motorsport sensation sessions

On the magazine they are giving away a CD which contains vids of the various cars. The Tamora's diving under heavy braking is alarming.

R

Haven't read the article yet, but I watched the vids last night and thought the same thing. It looked like the front end was going to take a chunk out of the tarmac! I can't believe this is right. It looked like the front was way too soft.

I'm no expert, but I think a softer front end sharpens turn-in, so would the factory have changed this in view of it being a track car test?

Have any of you Tamora owners seen the video?

Um...oh....errr... techie stuff isn't my strong point I'm afraid.

The only posting I'm familiar with involves The Royal Snail or Consignia or whatever the hell they are calling themselves this week.

I can stick the CD in the post for you if you like.

Yup I've seen it, and to be honest it does look alarming, but without seeing longer footage not sure you can really read anything into it. In other shots on the video it looks ok and under heavy acceleration does not appear to squat abnormally or anything. One interesting thing on the video's is the clip with the spins, stalls etc Tamora appeared to be the only car not in this clip unless I am mistaken.

Go and drive one, and make your own mind up! A tiny piece of video is not damning evidence of poor setup - several lengthy and extremely positive magazine articles, and high placing in EVO car of the year, are better evidence of the Tamora's worth! Jeez, talk about making mountains out of molehills! Get a grip, chaps!!!
