OK, indicators terminated and balance resistor fitted. I will test before installation to confirm correct flash rate. Assuming the 50W 6ohm resistors do the job they should, you can get them off the bay of fleas - 4 complete with wires and scotch-locks for £5 delivered.

I have wired mine up exactly like you have done, but when I check it, there is no flashing, the light is on all the time. have I done something wrong?

It is not on the car, just wired up and tested with a battery charger...

Have decided to solder the wires, instead of using the cheap 'n' nasty clips I bought.

Is there any reason why the resistor wire cannot be crimped into the same terminal as the light wire?

This is how I've done it:

Is that OK?

Cheers - Have just ordered a book - Automotive Electrics - A Practical Guide.

Have shocked myself regarding just how little I know, even basics, at 47!

OK, have knocked out one of the indicators and am about to wire up the LED.

Is the black wire (from the original TVR wires) live and the green and white wire negative?

Just checking before I commit....

No other way round, it won't matter if you connect them in reverse (they only work one way).
Thank you, Shep! Was worried about the fuse box blowing up! hehe

They all work!

The worst job is trying to remove the sikaflex off the lower lights! The second worst job was trying to crimp new connectors onto the lower light loom, as there seems to be only an inch or so of wire sticking out from under the carpet!

All I have to do now is to sikaflex the lower lights in place (dry fitted them for the pic)

ETA - Knowing what I know now, I would have bought the spade connectors to go with what was already on the end of the wires - that would have saved quite a bit of time!

Thank you!

Once I know what I'm doing, it is quite easy.

I absolutely caked the inner rim base of each of the lower lights with sikaflex, I'd be very surprised it they're not waterproof - but I shall try out what Shep suggested anyway. I even used my finger to ensure the inner edges were completely sealed - with gloves, of course, horrible stuff...

Shep, it was quite difficult to choose which colour indicator lenses. I settled with what was already there, the white lenses - but I didn't realise just what a stark contrast they would make, when compared to standard!

Still a little too apprehensive about doing the front lights, though....I may quit while I'm ahead.... hehe

ETA - Oh yes, the reverse light seems to emit an orange light, not white! Is that normal?

Quite funny, I design and build prototype scale models to high standards, but I feel more chuffed doing these lights than completing a 64th scale model of Victory!

Well done, Chris. Looks great!
Hey Alex, cheers.

I have been meaning to say that, I think your car is like a 1:1 scale top of the range model - I bet you get as much out of just looking at it than driving it, and if you could have it in your lounge, you would! hehe

The reverse light should be bright white, yours looks different to mine but I will go out now and have a look for you. ----- Just checked it is the same but mine is bright white?

I will need to check mine again when I go down to the garage (plan to add the CF pedal box today, as I'm on a roll!). If mine's faulty (reverse light), I need to get another as it's being MOT'd next month. Trouble is, I've sikaflexed the unit in....hate that stuff....

OK, my reverse light is most definitely red!

Have they put the wrong LED's in this reverse light, do you think?

Here is the fog light:

OK, Cheers. have emailed SVC and asked if they can send another. I have attached some pics of the light for them.

This is the light when off:

Dammit!

Looks like they sent me this by mistake:

http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/ultrabright-inner-l...

Instead of this:

http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/ultrabright-inner-l...

Their mistake, as this is what is written on my order:

MIX & MATCH, ULTRABRIGHT INNER LED REVERSE

So I have 2 fog lights! Trouble is, it's caked in sikaflex and is gonna be a bh to remove.....

This is the correct one:

Yep - The reverse light was the only one I didn't check before committing to gunging it in place - typical! I have taken it out now, but it's still covered in the black gunk...

After emailing SVC at the weekend, today, I had the new reverse light arrive, no fuss.

Now, I do have a spare clear lens LED fog lamp (although it still has some sikaflex attached, which I can't get off..), and we are probably going to Burghley (but in the Mini...). Whoever wants this (FOC), let me know and I'll bring it with us.

Almost forgot - the front indicators are now LED:

Not sure if I made the right choice on the colour, perhaps I should have gone for orange rather than the clear lenses, as they look a little 'blingy' to me...
