Speaker upgrades in a T350
Discussion
Had all this done while the car was being made. Below is a Kenwood 5 channel amp and Pioneer DAB tuner
The doors panels had MDF fibreglassed in to fit the speakers in the front door pockets being covered in leather in the pocket and left open in the rear to let the speaker "breathe" in the door space.
The rear bulkhead was made out of ply and brought forward to accomodate the 6x9 speakers and Sub. I had a perspex guard made for the sub with the TVR logo etched into it by a hi fi specialist (not cheap!)
My head unit is the Pioneer hard drive which not only copies and stores loads of cd's but also records from the DAB radio with cd sound quality. Therefore I have no need for a cd multichanger.
The system sounds awesome the best I have done to date and the remote fits perfectly on my Momo wheel.

Hi all,
I have been an owner of a T350t now for 3 years and the last 2 years have been great! I am in the same position that i only have the 2 rear speakers fitted. For the time being i would like to keep to the standard head unit but i would like to upgrade the rear speakers for more volume and bass.
I read that one member installed Infinity Reference speakers. Please can you commit on which are the best speakers to install without doing any modifications and ref the model numbers as i dont know anything about size, output max etc
Cheers

Whatever you put in the back will not sound as good as you might like. This is because of the solid seatbacks, with no headrest gaps even. Put you head between the seats and you get much better sound.
You might want to consider some front speakers.

the fact that the speakers are mounted in not to solid or free from vibration fibreglass will affect it aswell as the seat backs stopping sound from getting through into the cabin, fronts are the only way you will get a decent sound, a set of alpine components should sort you out!
£125 for me Alpine speakers in the rear, alpine mp3 head unit and tweaters in the front! If this is correct you'll have to send me the link to that website but i doubt it very much!!
Id rather keep the original pioneer head unit and just change the speakers in the back. What are the best aftermarket speakers - Infinity, Alpine etc??

£135 sorry not £125 was for speakers only - I already had the head unit, the original Pioneer wasn't MP3. I think they are Alpine SXS - 1357: 5 1/4" rears and 1" front tweeters.
I don't suppose they are top shelf 'ice', but do seem better than originals at pulling some sound to the front without buggering around with dash/doors, especially when full of luggage.
Why spend £000s on sounds with an engine like we've all got ...

Just to let you guys know I have just fitted the ew Sony head unit with Aux, 3pre outs, USB and Dab the sound so far has improved, next is rear speakers and amp. Trying to locate battery?
As Amp wires from the battery is best way me thinks with big fuse.
Hoping to fit front speakers too..
