Has anyone had any thoughts or found any solutions for a luggage guard of some sort for the Sagaris and T350? Specifically, to prevent luggage being thrown into the cockpit in the case of a shunt or heavy braking?

Mine has one fitted already, so a factory option?

No, I don't mean the pull out cover. I mean a vertical guard, like a dog guard or something.

Kill 2 birds..... etc., Fit a harness bar behind the seats, you can then attach a fitted piece of vertical meshing to the harness bar. Graham V can probably help talk you through acquiring and fitting a harness bar.

Yes, that is on my TODO list at some point but not before the Spa track day this Easter as I would need to either replace my seats or else have them modified to add harness slots. But definitely at some point, and I agree that webbing between that and the roll cage would be ideal.

I've been looking online and I think a £15 "universal fit" dog guard would do the trick. After all, all it has to do is contain anything being shunted forward and the seat backs would take the force and the dog guard merely spread the load and prevent ingress between the seats.

Something like this maybe:

hehe I'm full of suggestions as to what OTHER people can do with THEIR Sagaris' Alex. The harness bar makes a lot of sense, although I don't personally have one - I'll be doing all my track stuff in the Tuscan racer from now on. The dog guard styly meshing thingamy though would NEVER be found in MY Sagaris - If it doesn't fit under the pull cover, it doesn't go! thumbup

LOL.

Maybe I'm concerned over nothing. It's just if you were touring and carrying a lot of luggage then it would be nice feel it wasn't all going to spill over into the cockpit, that's all. biggrin

I have to admit, having bin to Le Mans last year, occassionally a few things fell onto the tunnel near the handbrake. I'm considering this for this year, as a mate is with me, so more to take, but certainly like the view that if it's not under the cover don't take it :P I see this as a temporary measure though and probably not needed for the entire space, just the lower third.

I agree.

For the sake of £15 I may try the dog guard and if it doesn't work, try to return it, or put it on eBay, or give it to a dog owner.

I constantly FILL the back of my T350 with stuff but I find with imagination and careful packing it can be pretty secure. I can see your point but without a dog I really couldn't cope with those ugly bars in my appreciably less ugly car (though I have heard people walk past my car say ' Ooh, nice car but why would you have it that colour?').
