Badge Plinth

Has anyone changed the plinth and badge on a T350, and can let me have some instructions?

Yes. I didn't replace with the plinth, though. Hairdryer heat to get the old badge off, white spirit and then double sided tape to replace. Oh, and measure carefully.

What about the front badge ?

On my T350 (06) there are also two nuts on the back of the front badge plinth, these are a lot easier to get to, as I was able to reach mine with the bonnet up. Be careful when replacing the plinths, don't do the nuts up too tight or you may shear off the bolts.

I recently replaced all three plinths and badges on the Sag in about an hour.

All plinths were held with two nuts on the inside of the body, I assume the T350 is the same. You will also need a foam spacer for the boot release badge and make sure you don't lose the springs!

OK thanks. My front one is bad, so being a 55 T350 should have two bolts on the back.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain with regard to the 'foam spacer'?

We are talking about the badge on the back of the car you press to open the tailgate.

This is attached in the same way as the two others but the nuts are spring loaded and not done up fully to allow the switch that operates the tailgate to work. Covering the action is a foam spaceer to stop water and other stuff getting in behind the plinth.

replaced both mine easily in about 30 minutes, the rear badge ( with the springs) can sometimes become difficult to operate as time passes due to the springs etc becoming rusted.
I really recommend while you are at it to completely do away with the push badge to operate the boot unlocking.
Just buy a switch from maplins ( same as wing mirror opening button,a push to make one) drill a hole in the number plate top recess and mount the switch. job done no more unlocking probs. You then just tighen the badge up as per front bonnet one.
The nice thing is that the switch isnt really visible due to the mounting location, I also believe tvr workshops do the same mod.
