10 Qs to ask a dealer??
Discussion
Long time lurker, first time poster etc. etc.....
Am off to see a Vantage tomorrow, very excited. I recall somewhere someone posted a list of 10 (?) things you should definitely quiz a dealer about re a used Aston. I thought I'd saved it somewhere but not turning up anywhere nor can I find it on a search. Does anyone recall this and feel like pointing me in the right direction?? Many thanks in advance.
And yes, I have "the" book!
Cheers,
TG

How many previous Owners?
Full Service History?
What Warranty work has been undertaken on the car?
Why are you selling me a car with the gunk compressor beyond its use by date, in the full knowledge that you will charge me for a new one at the first service interval?
Why are you trying to sell me Gap Insurance when I can get Agreed Value at a cheaper price?
Is your dolly bird receptionist for hire?
When you shaft me will you be gentle?
Where's me Umbrella?
The advert says Stone Guards but where are they (yup, happened on my old DB9)?
Can you throw in a free car cover?
.....still thinking

We have missed you mate, its been very dull here recently. Welcome back lovely car BTW
You will also need to know the condition of the tyres and pads in mm. It will be an expensive first service if they are about to hit the (mainly unnecessary) change limits set down in the AM guidelines.
Carefully check the paintwork at the front but also around the door handles, wing mirrors and keyhole. Reject at the first sign of any blistering etc.
Check for any water ingress in the LEDs and squat down to check the boot alignment. Check that the inside of the boot is not moist.
Bear in mind the age of the car - it is used.
When you shake hands with the Dealer if you detect even the slightest hint of moisturiser, walk away
