Evening all. Long time member, very occasional poster.

I'm finally in the position to treat myself to a Vantage, although at the "affordable" end of the spectrum, so <£40k unless there's an absolutely amazing deal somewhere. But I want a Titanium Silver one, and they seem to be very thin on the ground ! They all seem to be black or grey. Was Titanium unpopular for some reason ?

There was one locally recently that I nearly bought but someone beat me to it. No big deal though as it reeked of cigarettes and I was a bit so-so about it, so I chalked that one up to fate. Looking at the ads right now I can't see any Titanium Silver cars at all. I don't like the blue tint of Lightning Silver, so that's not an option.

Do I have to give up and buy a black one ?? There's loads of 'em.

Must admit have t seen many in titanium but black is also pretty cool . I recently chose a black car , it was very close between black and quantum .
Good luck either way

Got one in the garage with Chancellor red interior. Keep looking ,it's a great colour and try for the red interior and red brake calipers as they suit the car. Keep the red rear lights as they look better than clear against the silver.
It took me 6 months to find one but its worth the wait. After 5 years I still go into the garage to look at it every night!!
Good luck !!

My first Aston Martin was Titanium Silver, beautiful colour. But I sold it seven years ago, not sure where it is now...

May I suggest you look at Lightning Silver in person? The colour is very hard to capture in a photo, it's a multi-hued splendour and a sight to behold.

Black is a superb colour

I've owned both a tungsten and a black Vantage, and the black looks superior all the time.

I'd love yellow or blue mind you

I cant believe how magnificent the (lightning?) silver DBS looks in the Rick Ross Aston Martin video. However I don't think that is entirely natural....

And me too.
A beautiful colour for an Aston Martin.

If you do like this colour Steve, there are only a few 2009 Model Year onwards.
About 7 Coupes, 6 Roadsters and 1 V12 in the UK.

Your budget might indicate a 4.3, and I think there were a greater number of Grigio coloured cars made then.
It obviously needs luck to find a car in an unusual specification, but it can happen.
Keep looking for what you want. It is worth the wait, especially if you are buying a 'keeper'.

Have a look at Tungsten silver too, you can tell the difference from the other silver cars when its clean in sunlight

I had a black Vantage for many years, which was great when i had time to keep it looking clean all the time. In the last year got a Tungsten car. Nothing looks quite as good as a black car when its freshly cleaned, however the Tungsten car never really looks like it needs a clean, even when it does wink

+1 Tungsten is a very complex colour which changes with the light. When the sun shines the metallic flecks really stand out - and as you say hides the dirt very well which helps if you use it.

Had a Titanium DB9V which I sold to get the Tungsten one. Both great colours. Couldn't live with a black one because you have to work too hard keeping it clean.

They made only 50 Vantages in Titanium Silver in 2009 (this data comes directly from the factory), hence why you don't find that many around.

They could not specify number for Titanium silver and interior combo, though. Mine is with Aurora blue interior

Thanks for all the replies. My reason for wanting a Titanium Silver is a bit silly really, it's because we have three other cars that are silver and I want it to match as closely as possible. Don't judge me; we all have our little foibles don't we ?? I'll also want/need a black interior for the same reason. I do like the various shades of grey but they're not the bright silver that I want !

pggroves - I don't fancy a red interior, but agreed on the red rear lights.

JohnG1 - Lightning Silver - I have viewed one, a 4.7 that was a bit out of budget but in its favour had the lightweight seats. I could have stretched the budget if the car had really wowed me but it didn't. One owner. All the stamps in the service book were AM but it was two months overdue for the next one. No other paperwork - I would like like to see receipts so I know what work has (and hasn't!!) been done. A lot of little scratches on the body, brakes dirty, it basically felt like it had been just "a car" to someone and not loved & chersished. Not even prepped by the (non-AM) dealer before sticking it on the forecourt.

Dewi 1 - yes, I'm looking at 4.3s, hoping that a good 4.3 will overall be a better ownership experience than a "cheap" 4.7 that 's been neglected and has all the big bills coming at once. I'm definitely planning on it being a keeper, so I can wait for the right car, and will travel too if necessary.

Here is my old post showing Titanium Silver Roadster with Red lights and now with Clear Lights with Black surround for reference.
I might have a set of the N400 sills painted Titanium Silver (as currently fitted on the Roadster) coming up for sale once I replace them with something else.

Its the Chancellor red interior that e everyone loves as a contrast to the silver. It's all about personal choice though.i originally wanted black and black but when I sat in one it was too dark inside.
I'd always be open minded if I was offered a minter in a colour I hadn't previously considered as colours can grow on you.
Good hunting anyway.

That's a name I've not seen for a while. I take it you still have something from Munich in the stable given the colour requirement?

As mentioned, light silver in earlier 4.3 cars are thing on the ground to say the least. The 'fast track' colours tended to be greys/blacks etc.
Besides, Tungsten Silver is best with Meteorite being a close second...
