Vantage Floor Mats
Discussion
Gentlemen
I picked up my '09 Vantage today and drove it straight to the Detailers to work their magic on and will be ready to reveal to friends and family on Tuesday (and for pics for you all).
A quick question which I’m asking as the search facility doesn’t seem to be working...............................Id like some mats for the beast to protect the original carpets. I don’t want rubber ones but carpet ones and the dealer mentioned that AM ones were somewhere near £400. Not keen on that so wondered what you guys have done regarding mats and if you had any advice and recommendations please?
Many thanks.
Jason

ive got the OEM ones, got bought them as a pressie a few years ago, I think they were around £250 at the time...but I wouldnt pay that for them
they really are just plain black mats, with leather edge and a tiny AM tab on the them, no different than what you can get from Autostyle or other aftermarket mat provider for £60 ish (or even cheaper on ebay)

I have a set of these:-

They are "OK", the logo is reasonable but only available in black. A couple of AM Dealers have commented how better they are than the AM stock ones.
Not cheap though.

I took a chance and bought some cheap ones from Ebay - I just wanted something to protect the original carpet - I paid £25 for a set that fitted well and look ok (car dealer type quality) from a company called Towequipe

Hi Guys
Many thanks for all your input. As a result, Ive just order a set in black with drivers heel pad and "Vantage" in silver stitching to match the seats from Autostyle.
Once again, much appreciated.

Have these arrived yet? Is the quality and fit spot on? If so I'll be ordering a set as well
Hi Guys
The new Autostyle mats arrived today and were put straight in the car given the damned English summer.
I'm pleased with the quality and the leather edging is a nice touch as is the "Vantage" stitching which is in silver to match the seats. They don’t fully cover the stock mates but I expected that and they certainly cover the important areas. Overall I'd recommend them.
What do you think?
Cheers

Waddya need mats for on a '09 vantage? Surely the carpets cant be worn out already are they - if they are then alarm bells would be ringing in my mind.
The vantage already has "mats" built in via the carpet as murph mentioned above. Unless you are a farmer or construction worker or intending to astronimcal miles on it I cant see them wearing out really???

Adam - you have a valid point but some people like to protect originality so quite often get over-mats on top of manufacturer mats.
With winter around the corner (amd whats left of our glorious summer )I just wanted some extra protection for the original carpets thats all.
the OE mats are defo a better fit than that, and go right under the seat and have some plastic fastenings to stop them wrinkling up ...dunno why the aftermarket guys didnt just copy them directly really
fine for winter use, as they are easy to remove, vacuum/wash and put back in ..
but the actual carpet in the front of the car seems like an off the shelf easy to replace piece anyway, Id be interested to know how much it is just to buy new OE carpet pieces if it becomes worn, then not bother with mats ....
