Revealed today during a factory tour.

Positioned as explained by Dr Bez between the DB9 & DBS.

And some other well received news was the sat nav ( garmin) is being updated and rolled out this year throughout the range.

Agreed. Obviously a nice looking car but it's similar to a DB9 or DBS. DB9 being phased out?

Personally I like it; Volante or not I wonder.

Any word on performance or what's in the bonnet?

A Volante in morning frost was revealed at the same time. The colour or my pictures from my phone don't do the car justice as once you examine the curves and detail it truly is a stunning car.

No details were forthcoming as to engine improvements but it was established that AML see the V12 as the engine configuration for a GT car which is refreshing as all other manufacturers are either laying the ground for reducing cylinder or have done so already.

Any pictures of it? I imagine it's stunning!

Really sorry, but if this is a "new model" I personally don't see any earth shattering innovation. To me it seems another dip into the parts bin.

It would be good to see a different concept we can argue and/or dream over.

No.... Not a Cygnet.

Carbon ceramic brakes and 490bhp. Coupe and Volante both looked fabulous in the flesh. Not sure on the interior colour scheme of the Coupe but the detailing was wonderful. It is definately a halfway house between DB9 and DBS but the major visual difference is the use of Rapide headlights. Personally I thought the highlight of the morning was Vantage S. It looks fabulous in the flesh and the launch colour scheme looked very nice. Not much interest in the three Cygnets sitting in the main foyer !!

Am I the only one who see this as a parts bin rummage.

Maybe...but what would you rather have? A Cygnet Turbo or a derated DBS?

What is the point of this car? Was there really anyone saying "well, the DB9 isn't quite powerful enough for me, but the DBS is a bit too powerful, Do you have anything in between?"

I know it's priced above the DB9, but will the DB9 be fazed out as a result? What do we think.

Surely this will replace the DB9 eventually, I see absolutely no point in it otherwise.

I think it is the DB9S...like the V8 Vantage S but they cound'nt call it a DB9S.

Ceramic anchors, DBS suspension, derated V12 but a boost on the DB9.

Neither an IQ turbo would be rather amusing though.

Yup, it is deffo an DB9S with a new (but old) name...

http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/thecars/virage.

Not so sure about the styling, it seems to lack the elegant beauty of the DB9 and the agression on of the DBS.

It's the lovechild of Mr DBS getting it on with Mrs Db9 smilesmile
