You're welcome, hope you have more luck with this one.
Keeping my fingers crossed... Anyone know the deposit to secure a car?
AM Works look for between £3,000 and £5,000, Lancasters Cambridge wanted £1,000 so I'm guessing it varies dependent on outlet and which way the wind is blowing.
I would try to put down a refundable holding deposit on credit card and then get down to them.
Manual is not allowed according to the boss or I might not have told you it was out there.

New car is not allowed according to my boss. But that's something I'll have to deal with later... I would try to put down a refundable holding deposit on credit card and then get down to them.

Good idea with the refundable deposit idea.

Interesting how the Carbon Blacks vary a bit. This one has a grey headliner, chrome grille and chrome window surrounds. In mine, all of these are black.
It's a beauty - go get it bought.
I've actually just been looking at more details of the Carbon Edition. Interesting. Some nice little details. Nice to have something slightly different to the norm for an already now rare car! It's a beauty - go get it bought.

The Carbon Black Ed was a special that ran for a 18 months or so. It was basically a pre-set package of black pieces and included a few "specials" that didn't come available on normal cars until later such as the full piano black centre console and carbon side strakes. Whilst more expensive RRP than a std V12V it was really good value overall as the price was slightly less than the sum of the extras and it was also slightly more heavily subsidised by the factory meaing discounts that little bit better than std cars making it a particularly popular option with anybody who wanted a dark or black car. At the peak probably a good 50% of new V12V stock cars available were Carbon Black Editions. Some good info here on CB Ed http://astonmartins.com/car/aston-martin-v12-vanta...
You cant go too far wrong with a Carbon black Ed car if you want a black car from that model year.

Wow! This particular car was only up for sale last August and has since done an additional 6000 miles with no affect on selling price!!
On the other hand there was a 2009 with 25k miles at JCT Brooklands advertised at around the same price just last December?Mako, would you have any idea how much that one went for?

I'd never find out the details of any deal between customer and dealer.
I was lucky enough to purchase one of these, the final forty Carbon Blacks:
