After repacking, I have limited myself to seven pairs of driving gloves. I feel this is the minimum that I can safely travel with yes

It was good to get my car back today cool
Poof, although it is good to know you have something to drive, with your "Best Man"

See you tomorrow.

Huge thanks to Simon for arranging this, I'm incredibly excited. I even got Barb (my wife) to drive the car for the first time today just in case it was needed - went OK, but she needed a pint and a half in the pub afterwards to calm her nerves :-)
I got a bit of practise in y'day too. Took a friend of ours for a little demo run. He seemed to like it but was a little nervous. Apparently I am now the talk of the pub - in a good way biggrin

Packing was a big deal but I know I will still have packed all the wrong things. Thank God I don't have to worry about which driving gloves to take too rolleyes

I'm traveling light. Two pairs of pants, two jackets, seven shirts, many varieties of undergarments and sundry toiletries.

Maximum room for wine and pressies for the family smile

No other reason for this message other than to say we have now equaled the longest AM forum thread (Photos) at 1290 messages. Quite interesting looking at page 1 again.

Well, all that remains to be said from this callsign is merely to wish you all an enjoyable, but ultimately safe few days away. It'll be an incredible experience, but if I hear one word about on the Welsh weekend, I'll be calling for sniper support. Capice? Enjoy, you lucky lot.... wink

I'm supposed to have packed by now?
Sat in the office, finalising the VAT for the quarter.
Will pick up some euros and Swiss money this morning.
Then home, pack, have a meal with Aston Annie and then travel to Folkstone
Will get to hotel ~ 10:00pm tonight, avoid the bar and see you all tomorrow morning.
Just be given HD camera to use for the trip, to use in the car. Little camera lens on a window mount. So can record parts of the trip whilst driving.

You forgot to pack Marmite.... No trip abroad should ever be attempted without Marmite.
