Anyone know how many V12 AMRs for the UK?
Just gone through the option list and coming out at £200k+ ??
One per dealer worldwide I was told, but Id guess some UK dealers might end up with 2, so 25 ish...

Each dealer is being allocated 1 v12 and 2 v8s (initially at least)

Not sure how many dealers there are. But guessing there will be maybe just 20-25 v12s in the U.K.

US isnt getting the car.

If the GT8 is anything to go by you will see 2-3 for South Africa, Latam. Same again for Australia

Then the rest split between Europe, Asia, Middle-East (which is only getting the v12)

As a model variant the v12vs manual is already a very rare car. The AMR as a variant on that will be rarer again. Put the t this way, outside of Aston Martin meets I will be surprised to see another one on he road....

Do you think they justify £200k price tag or should I de-spec a little?

It's not really a call I can make for you! smile

If you plan on keeping for years then of course spec is how you want it to perfection.

If you think you're selling in 2 years then you might want to cut back a bit

Keep in mind (unlike with the GT8) that the Ti exhaust is dealer not factory fit. They sound great but you can order at a later date once you've checked out the stock sound. Of course a future buyer will no doubt favour a car with the Ti exhaust

If you've specced B&O you could save there. There's some theatre with the way the tweeters rise from the dashboard. But that's about it. My experience having had both that and premium is that's it's not worth paying for the former

I would definitely spec lightweight seats though

If the V12VR roll out is anything to go by when they said it was one per dealer, although there were more dealers then, then there turned out to be around 35 roadsters in the U.K. I wouldn't be surprised if this model turns out similar but of they will be a mix of coupes/roadsters and SS3/manual. Hope we find out one day how they were split.

I hadn't speced the B&O ....main cost is coming from aero kit and wheels £20k, halo £6.5k, TE 11k.
IMO these need to be included to carry through the racing heritage and the tribute to Le Mans GTE Pro Class which is what the cars about. Just think 200k is top heavy, but that's just my opinion.
My 991 GT3 RS was £158k fully loaded which seems considerably better value in comparison!

I don't car what the cynics say, AMR winning GTE with the last ever outing of the current gen Vantage will not hurt the desirability of these cars.

Maybe a V8 coupe in Halo spec and Aero pack has just become the one to have!

Are there any v8 coupe slots left in the U.K.?

Halo spec would be a great buy, and much more affordable than the v12

There were a few V8s available but I would think they will sell fast after today's result!

AM Cambridge had one available last week.

Bang on, Big Ry.

[cue lots of grumpiness about how the Vantage AMR has been launched]

Somebody in the AML PR team needs to be taken out and...
...bought a drink drink!

I'm man enough to admit when I may have been wrong, and the context of a Le Mans class win certainly puts a different perspective on things. getmecoat

The motorsport link to the actual road car may well be tenuous, and I'm still sad about how the media has positioned the AMR (because I adore the car and I think its significance has been overlooked) but if the AML team had the confidence and foresight to use Le Mans and the racing team's connection as the platform to launch the car, then kudos to them bow

Not that they care what I think, but congrats AMR and well done AML. If all 300 cars weren't sold out by Wednesday, I'm sure they will be now thumbup

Not sure if it is posted previously... Is the aero kit factory fitted or dealer?

Also does the Amr wheels get substituted by the standard item or do they give you both?

Aero kit is dealer fit as are the wheels. This gets around the cost of homologation given the limited numbers produced. You may get something back for the original wheels from the dealer, although I doubt it will be anywhere near the 5k cost for the lightweight wheel.

There are always people on here looking to buy the lightweight wheels, you should get £2500-£3000 for a brand new set easily enough.

Great thanks for the info.

Has anyone had quotes from the dealer for fitting the aero kit?

I'm not going aerokit as I'm aiming for a roadster.

But if I were going for it I'd be pushing pretty damn hard for it to be fitted free given there won't be any other discounts available on a rare car like this
