I have always preferred the early wheels to any of the later designs until I saw yours. Very nice indeed.

Minor criticism - the rear wheels seem to be too perfectly aligned with the wheelarches, I would de-space them for 10mm.

Had a go with my new ‘hairdryer’. Worked great. Blows yer socks off!
I’ve been looking at these, drying the front grill is a major pain in the butt.

I take it, it works well?

After driving around aimlessly, I went to a AM dealer, just to be reminded that I really dont like the DBX.

Well, the DB9 is probably the best AM from the affordable "youngtimer" range, also the DB7. Looked at an early Vantage V8 Roadster today and although it is a very, very pretty car, its dimensions are somewhat toy-ish in real life, a shame. Rapide will be nice and age well.

I can see this getting expensive, very quickly hehe

The hand held one is around £100.00 I think, which would probably do me, just really need it for the front grill.

Very happy with it. I reckon I dried the car just as quickly as I would with a towel etc. It helps if the paint is slick of course.
I did consider a bigger unit but fancied a single hand pistol style. It blows hard for its size.

Absolutely essential for drying (and storing) the Aston; especially the slatted front grill and the wheel rims. I had the MetroVac AirForce Blaster Sidekick first and meanwhile the bigger MetroVac AirForce Blaster. smile

So... smile

Loud, I hear? Loud all the time, I presume, as you’ve lost the valves?

Loud but not until you put the pedal down, then all hell breaks loose

Removed the rear driver's side tail light, which has annoyingly decided to gather so much condensation that it was running down the inside of the lens. Have drilled 4x 4mm holes on the top left and top right, and one lower right. I'll leave it to thoroughly dry for a week before applying gore tex patches over the holes and refitting it. Fingers crossed!
