But you've just hit the nail on the head. 'better driver's car' not 'better car'. Hard though it is for us to think like this, some people aren't looking for the best driver's car - they are looking for the best looking car, the flashiest car, the car that wins a game of top trumps, etc. I have more sympathy for someone that says his definition of best car is fastest than say, to have the car that's best for pulling !George H said:

+1 George did you bang your head when you fell of the bike? (BTW what sort of bike was it )
Wow word travels fast... Jockman Was a CBR600. Went into a corner a bit fast on my mates private lane and stupidly pressed the brake mid-corner. Bike slid harmlessly into the field at the side, just a bit of wear on the crash bobbin and a bit of mud on the fairings. I put my hand out mid fall and subsequently sprained my wrist

Mr mansory, do you actually own one or have you just copied a pic you've seen on the net and used it in your profile?
As I explained in my intro post (readers' cars), the picture on my profile is not my car, it is from google images. I do have a similar car and will post pictures later.paddy328 said:

Good spot Paddy. Just been reading through his posts, he's been on the wind up all day, I urge people to have a look. Some of his posts in General Gassing are beyond anything I have read on here Winner for most delusional poster this year already! anonymous said:

At risk of stating the obvious Cmoose, I neither think that you are stupid or that I own you !MansoryContinental obviously thinks he has the best car (thinks that Mansory is best and perhaps, thinks he has a Mansory ?!?) and we probably would disagree with him.....
I take on board your point and don't side with George, but I can see why some people would find a great driver's car has to have the latest paddles shift
I have a friend who has some great drivers cars including an F40 and a Caterham who has recently taken delivery of a 12C. He was almost hesitant about driving it when it arrived but the more he drives it, the more he loves it. The feeling of the speeds he can reach with confidence are unlike anything else he's ever driven. I guess the holy grail of having a garage with 6 or 7 dream cars creates an ability to have both types of shift and my dream garage certainly would have that
Does he need a detailer? Haha
I would never buy an F40. Not just because I prefer the F50 and enzo, but for me the roof is too low and it's not remotely comfortable to sit in. I've been out in one (after detailing it) and its impressive, but just not for me. Sorry, a bit off topic there.

From my readings, it appears if you do not agree his car is the bestest EVAAAR then you are jealous! There can be no other reason apparently. Despite the fact it's a VW, it's heavy, cumbersome, undramatic, requires zero skill to drive and has an appalling image problem. jonby said:

It's not the bloke who lives in Bolton by Bowland and put the F40 backwards through a hedge on Sawley Brow is it? And then went for a full nut and bolt restoration at DK engineering. I notice you're in the North West too, only F40 I know of around these parts George H said:

Sorry Georgeous, but he threatened to take my compressor away (because I did the same thing on a CBR600 when I was learning )
