Plus a route to plan
It's all up here >taps side of head<Who is taking responsibility for booking a place to stay in Beaune?
If 20 cars or whatever, then we'll probably end up at the Mercure just on the edge of town..? Still easy to stroll into town for some top flight grub and there is a petrol station right outside

Once the plans are finalised I'll speak to the Mercure and see what we can get for a block booking and a section of the car park to ourselves. Standard rate per night looks like £72.Who is taking responsibility for booking a place to stay in Beaune?

I can recommend a place NOT to stay http://www.bed-and-breakfast-beaune.com/
I can also strongly recomend this place to fill a few hours and maybe some bottles

Le Cep is lovely, in the centre and has a lovely courtyard parking set-up that is ideal however it will be nearer double the price - I think a standard double is 140E

There is nothing to lose however in emailing to see what they might do for a group rate ? How many rooms/people do we think there will be approx ?

It is lovey and i think people wouldbe happy with that price - we are Astonauts after all But do they have comfortable parking for 23 cars, which is what we're at currently?
I really do think we'll get around 15-20 cars on this trip; lots of notice, a one-off experience, a cracking drive oprganised by a national treasure (me), it has all the vital ingredients

They may like the idea of an all aston car park for a photoshoot too -in fact whilst there will be plenty of other opportunities no doubt, it's a cracking spot for us to take a photo too
I'll ask the question and see what they say

The car park at a guess holds around 25cars in total so we would need to book the space well in advance - you can actually see some photos on the website

Anyone got any views on Winter tyres for Geneva in April?
Not needed here in GVA. Might just be needed if you are coming over the Col de la Faucille and that is a big might, but other than that I wouldn't bother. I drive my V8V all year round without bothering to put winter tyres on. I just don't go up to the ski resorts when it is snowing..alpinepass said:

Thanks for that!If it's a cold spring, we'll change the route but I did enjoy that road last time
