From my readings, it appears if you do not agree his car is the bestest EVAAAR then you are jealous! There can be no other reason apparently. Despite the fact it's a VW, it's heavy, cumbersome, undramatic, requires zero skill to drive and has an appalling image problem.
Please don't distort what I said. You say you have read my posts, as I explained, some people have a negative reaction to expensive cars through envy. I don't think that is such a controversial opinion. If you don't like mine, don't get one, no problem.
I find it great to drive, if I'm a fool for liking a car that requires little skill to drive so be it. Personally I think only a fool would spend good money on a car that was difficult to drive but each to their own.
As for the image problem, correct, it does elicit a negative response from a minority, but I bought it because I like it, not to impress anyone else.
You stick to buying cars that are difficult to drive if you think they work wonders for your image and we are all happy. OK?

We had a conversation this afternoon and I actually suggested it was a motor bike fall
(because I did the same thing on a CBR600 when I was learning )
Glad it isn't just me then (because I did the same thing on a CBR600 when I was learning )
This will be mine (the black one with HM Plant stickers). This was from a few weeks back at Cadwell when my mate rode it on track since it is his bike, and had just had a full engine rebuild. White one is his main track bike.
Also another bloke came with us on this fantastic Duke which has now got carbon race fairings on, and had the engine tuned to 194bhp at the rear wheel Sounds absolutely immense! I must get a 999R when/if I get good at it

I have a friend who has some great drivers cars including an F40 and a Caterham who has recently taken delivery of a 12C. He was almost hesitant about driving it when it arrived but the more he drives it, the more he loves it. The feeling of the speeds he can reach with confidence are unlike anything else he's ever driven. I guess the holy grail of having a garage with 6 or 7 dream cars creates an ability to have both types of shift and my dream garage certainly would have that
It's not the bloke who lives in Bolton by Bowland and put the F40 backwards through a hedge on Sawley Brow is it? And then went for a full nut and bolt restoration at DK engineering. I notice you're in the North West too, only F40 I know of around these parts Can't imagine that restoration you mention was cheap !!!!

No, you're right, I'm South Manchester but he's proper South ! He's towards London, part of a small drivers club I'm in. Amazing collection of half a dozen cars or so

Ah fair enough, didn't think that there were many F40s knocking about here! Wouldn't like to even think of the cost of a full restoration at DK engineering Can't imagine that restoration you mention was cheap !!!!
I was at TrackVRoad the other week and the owner came in as he was selling his Caterham R500, apparently the most expensive one ever ordered! A brand new Radical on order too. Turned up in a V12V, and also had a D-Type replica there getting serviced. Another serious collection of cars, made me think it was the same bloke (not that I know him, just was fantasising over his cars)

I belive the correct response to that is 'talk to the hand 'cos the face ain't listening'. Right? If you don't like mine, don't get one, no problem.

Being boring to drive and being interesting to drive are not the same as easy to drive and difficult to drive. I believe your opening gambit on here was the DB9 is hardly the drivers choice or something. I beg to differ. You then went on GG and told 911 owners that their cars are OK, just not in the same league as your Mansory Bentley. And I believe your opening post to the PH massive was along the lines of your car being the greatest there is. Disagree and you're jealous? Correct?
Hell of a first day, welcome to Pistonheads It is indeed a car enthusiasts forum and if you post about other peoples cars without automatically comparing them with yours and concluding yours is better every time, you'll have a lot more fun conversations. Even if you had turned up in a Veyron, nobody wants to hear it. We're all in this together!

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum, and I have a Mansory Bentley Continental GT. I know it makes some people react (jealousy is a cruel mistress!) but I think anyone "in the know" would agree its a tremendous car.

Lets be realistic, the only reason for not liking my car is envy.

The DB9 looks pretty decent, not sure its a real driver's car though. I think the Bentley has much more quality and style but i suppose thats personal preference.

The 911 is a decent motor, its something i did consider but actually i have a Mansory Bentley Continental GT which I think most people would agree is an amazing car (im not trying to make you envious, as i say, the 911 isnt bad, just not in the same league as mine)
anyway, enjoy your car
And some just for comedy value:anyway, enjoy your car

for most people a car like mine is a dream to drive. Its a real driver's car (not like some others i could mention) performance and possibly THE most stylish thing on 4 wheels.

If you cant take that then talk to the hand cos the face dont wanna know...

If you mean am i a pro driver then no i am not. Im good but Im not sure if i could really make it as a pro. maybe.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! This is all just hilarious! I don't care if this guy is 14 and spotty, this is great entertainment. By the way, there's no other way of saying it, that Bentley is hideous, just awful. Jealous? Envy? Okeedokeee!
Yeah, whatever...I bet its worth loads more than whatever pile of junk you drive!

Well youre a sad little man, how much time have you spent stalking me round the forum and then selectively quoting me!

Probably 5mins, it's easy when you know how. Isn't it past your bed time anyway or are you posting from under the covers?Must have taken ages, what a loser!
