A quick update. Getting there slowly...

They finally did a few parts this week. Good result on the body of the ECU as you can see in the attached picture.
However, the cap is still not good enough.
So, we will redo one of the mould to include the cap, which will work a lot better and remove all the little details that are actually not needed on the CFRP version.

I will send more news as soon as the new mould is ready.

Hi... I would like one of the ecu covers please

Great. I will PM interested parties with the bank details so they can do a transfer. I will provide an invoice so if anything goes wrong you can get your money back.

Right, 18 left then ;-)
+1 for me too - looking forward to hearing from you

Is this on-going or has the idea been dropped now? If the former then I am still interested in the Volvo replacement fob.

Still on going but taking much longer than anticipated . Had e-mail a couple of weeks ago with an update.

Any update on this? I've been patiently waiting on the volvo fob however assume it's a long time away given it's not even been started.

All,

If you are interested in the ECU and you were on the list I posted earlier today, you should have received a private mail from myself. However, I think Pistonheads might have stopped a lot of them with their automatic spam detection...

So, if you have not received an email from me today, please email at michael_blaize@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks !

Hi Mike, tried mailing you on the above but it returned it. Is this the correct email address?

ECU - I understand the Volvo fob would follow once the ECU tooling hats been sorted .

You can buy the bits for the ECU individually (glass cap, silver case, internals, etc).

Is the glass cap glued on? Mine's just chipped, but you know how painful that is to see every day. Do you order from the dealer?

Mine came from the dealer with a small chip in but I've been told a jeweller might be able to polish it out smile
