Hi everyone - looking forward to picking up my Vantage later this month.
A question - I didn;t think to listen to the standard audio stereo when test driving and ordered with just the standard option.
What is the general consensus on the standard audio? Is it sufficient? Just bit worried I maybe should have looked for an upgrade.
Can't find any details on spec of standard audio on a 2019 model Vantage.
Please see a brief text excerpt from the Definitive Guide’s new Vantage section, hope this helps..... A question - I didn;t think to listen to the standard audio stereo when test driving and ordered with just the standard option.

‘You will also find A2DP Bluetooth with audio, phone streaming and iPod/Iphone integration, plus USB playback and both DAB and AM/FM radio. The all-new “Aston Martin Audio System”, is now provided by ASK audio, who specialise in OEM audio solutions (they supply many car companies including Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, BMW, etc), they were incorporated into the JVC Kenwood group in 2015.
The new standard audio offers 6 speakers ( 2 - 40mm tweeters in the front dash - 2 door mounted 100mm mid-range units, 2 dash mounted 160mm Woofers) with 4 channels and a total output of 200 watts via a console mounted header/amp. The optional Premium set-up offers 640 watts, with a boot mounted amplifier and the addition of a centre dash 100mm mid-range speaker, a 100mm mid and 40 mm tweeter in each rear side panel and a 200mm woofer centre rear. You gain a surround sound option, much greater depth and the rear speakers make the sound more immersing, but we are not sure it’s as good as the previous Premium Alpine set-up, time will tell!’

From my experience with Porsche’s its modern tyres when it gets cold....my cars don’t do it in the summer and do it when it starts getting cold. On our 4x4’s it disappears when we put the winter tyres on.
It’s definitely not the tyre skipping though, so not a lack of grip. Something is knocking/rubbing, or not making contact. Doesn’t sound great!Grant3 said:

Certainly interesting. I’m going to make a few calls this week.
They’ve struggled to sell them - do we think this offer is short term or the new normal? Doesn’t feel logical to shift the stock then move prices back up and then build stock again?
Try to mention one luxury brand owner who has managed top get back up the pricing ladder once the discounting has set in ?They’ve struggled to sell them - do we think this offer is short term or the new normal? Will be interesting to see if the roadster brings the updated Mercedes infotainment with it from the DBX. I think the current system is already very dated in feel an operation so launching the roadster with it would seem a bad idea. I think my 991.2 911's system beats the pants off it. Let alone the 992's updated system...
I know the Vantage is all about emotion, but the systems do need to be vaguely competitive.... I preferred the system I had in my e92 M3 had way back in 2008!
Maybe that's why they are so keen to shift stock at the moment?

Sorry to be negative but seeing those pictures it's difficult not to be.Profile looks very much like an F-Type, the previous gen Roadster had concealed rollbars that popped-up, those fixed ones look ugly, I think the Mercedes GT has the same rollbars, is there more than just the engine that is shared between the two convertible AM(G) versions?

Wow. Feels almost negligent NOT to get involved at these prices...
It would be!On Saturday, I test drove the new Vantage for the first time courtesy of AM Bristol. I only went to Bristol to buy a jumper...
I was soooooo close to finalising the deal as the car is great value (regardless of the finance deal). Only SWMBO and the future inheritance receiver stopped the deal in the tracks. They like the Vantage V8S too much, which I can understand. As it’s purely a toy for us all, I was outnumbered.
But my impression of the new Vantage is sky high! I only drove 10+ miles and I found the steering feel (phew!) and sound to be excellent. Engine and gearbox are right up there. Strangely, my greatest impression is of an immensely solid and we’ll sorted car. It’s rigidity was perfect with not even the merest hint of a rattle or squeak. (The demo car had passed 2k miles.) There was no need to peddle out the excuse AM is a low volume manufacturer.
Visually, there was a real nice dark blue new stock example in the showroom which I fell for:
I didn’t realise the previously-teased bonnet vents were now appearing on models in the showroom and they really help. Regardless, this example was pure class with its chrome trim and dark grey leather interior.
It’s a decision I’ll regret for some time financially. Bizarrely, an Aston you’d buy with your heart AND head.

That does look great. Any idea what the exact colour is?
Just spoke to George of AM Bristol by coincidence and he confirmed its Mariana Blue. Give George a call. He’s very helpful and can extract the necessary cash from you Edited by nickv8 on Monday 16th December 13:27

I looked at the blue car in AM Bristol, but I dont think that it was on that fantastic deal, as it was of a higher spec, therefore it was going to be a bigger chunk of deposit and monthly as well. They have a really nice car in Arden green though. On Saturday, I test drove the new Vantage for the first time courtesy of AM Bristol. I only went to Bristol to buy a jumper...
