Magma red?

Well, didn't expect that. Wow factor indeed. Need to see it in the flesh but umm... I'm happy with my DB9 for now smile

Cool car, like it. Is it sized between the Vantage and DB9, looks like a shorter wheelbase?

Full of stunning details though, love the spilers and diffuser. Did you get an interior shot?

sat here umming and ahhing on whether I like it. Some nice details, but struggling to see past the wheels.
can't see a middle brake light on it. Is this the finished article?

In Gaydon the colour was a bit more dark red metallic with light leather interior which looks very nice.

"Wow!" is right...but in a seriously bad way. That is sooo ugly. I cannot believe this is the next big thing for Aston. Someone is playing us with photoshop, right?

Owners of DB9 and DBS should rejoice since the value of their cars will now go up. I just can't frickin' believe it. Oh, the humanity of it all!

Hate the front splitter. Looks like Mick Jagger's lips. I like the rear end though, very nice. This is a marmite moment and I won't be trading my V12V any time soon for one..

It's in the rear glass...like an old fashioned XJS. Front splitter looks like someone gave the car a fat lip. Ridiculous side skirts that stick out like a sore thumb. Pointless strake extending into the door to disrupt the flow. And don't even get me started about the gangster wheels...

It just gets worse the more I look at it.

This car, if this is what it really looks like, will be a hard sell for Aston.

:-(

Those sills, over the top "wow" and the colour.... Looks like a Toyota attempt at a sports car.
And what's with the wheelbase? Looks too short IMO.

Sad coz the covered up one looked promising...

Unless there's more than one new Aston coming up?

Tbh I'm happy with the current line up. Don't think this style will prove as popular, and JC will definitely drop his age old comment of Astons being the best looking cars ever built....

Shame.

there are elements I love, like the rear haunches and the aggressiveness of the narrow waist and the flared arches. Not sure about the rear spoiler and not liking the black strips down the side and the front splitter but I guess it will look dif in a dark colour - think the roof looks good

Overall, there are some design features in the front splitter and the sides that remind me of Ferrari F12, or is that just me ?

My reaction was of it was it will take some time for me to get used to the shape. The flat flare over the wheel arches are almost Hyundai and the large hips do not give the same flowing vision as in the existing models. The rear is not dissimilar to a Porsche
It gives the impression of a US muscle car geared to the far east markets in my view.

I am sure I shall get flamed for the above but it is only my impression.

I don't dislike it is perhaps the best I can say...

I need to see it in the metal/composite/flesh. If nothing else, it's a step on from our cars which is what we were told - that ours would look 'old'! This is a very 'modern' car and sometimes it takes time to get to know and love the shape. Admittedly, DB7, Vanquish, DB9 and Vantage were all loved instantly, maybe this one will be a grower smile

The colour, as with the release of the Zagato isn't to my liking. But can anyone think of an enormous emergent market with money to burn (and a very long wall) where they like red things..?

I can imagine it will look very different in a dark colour and different again in a silver. I quite like the idea of a very dark green metallic for instance

I don't mind red Astons in general (I have a Magma V8S !!!) but I'm really not sure this is the best colour for this car

this doesnt look anything like a so called flagship DBS model - are we being led up the garden path ? is there another model to come? Looks like a mid range model to me ..... to those who saw it at Gaydon is this definately the replacement?

Very disappointed... what is this front splitter ? frown

I still don't understand how we can perceive it as the future Vanquish. This car does not look like the Vanquish at all...

Anyway, even in an other color for sure I'll be disappointed. There is no charisma at all... I even find it vulgar from some angles.

It's like AM has begun to follow the Mansory design school of excess excrement. It started with the Virage for some of its design elements and then really went into the proverbial weeds with the Zagato. And then the absolutely terrible wheels on the DBS Orange 'Carbon' edition. And here it has culminated in one horrifying mismash of design elements and tacked on bling. Looks like some schoolboy's doodling.

If this makes the 'current lineup look old', then I'm glad I've got an old car. Look what the Germans did to the Bentley SUV that was widely panned at the Generva show...no taste at all, just wretched excess in lieu of styling. I think Herr Doctor needs to depart before he ruins what remains of the AM design magic.

Massive FAIL

OMG. This just looks wrong in so many ways. It's like an aftermarket company has made a body kit for the car.

When we drove the Vanquish S my wife thought it was beautiful. When we drove the DB9 she thought it was beautiful. When we bought the Vantage she said the only way to describe it was beautiful.

I showed her these pics and she thought it was beauty spoiled. I tend to agree.
