Might see some of you on the Eurotunnel, I'm going across on Sunday at 4pm but admittedly to the Nurburgring not Spa; still eyes will be peeled.
Hope to be in the Bar by then Tim....we, the 3 amigo's bandit, are on the 10.30 - or maybe 10.50 - earlier than 4pm anyway!! Have a good trip driving

Already ensconced in the Radisson Blu in downtown Spa - had a delicious farmhouse chicken curry this evening.

Currently sitting in traffic trying to cross Belgium and a UK Vantage went the other way! We've also seen a UK DB9 sitting in the traffic this way too so I imagine he's coming your way.

Sadly the 300SL Roadster stood out the most (probably going back from Revival):

What sort of speed do you think you will get out of a V12V up Eau Rouge? Have any of you got a GoPro too? Would love to see some vids cool

Pah, I can get that on the Lavant Straight at Goodwood!

To Bamford Rose with ye!!

Did the original pads hold on? How was tyre wear for a full day?

As another one who went to the excellent day at Spa i can report that the V12 Vantage came home in one piece and that the quality and poise of that car on a track is up there with the best. Tyre wear and petrol consumption is epic. It is a good idea to make use of the tyre rental service that AM offers (however they were not available for the V12 when i enquired). My tyres narrowly passed the MOT last week so at Spa they were finished off for good. During the 2 day round trip i filled the tank 6 times !

I was positively surprised by the V12V performance ( and robustness ) on track. It is one of Astons finest no doubt. As the day went on it became better and better and my feeling was that on the way home it was more responsive and throttle happy than it had ever been. These cars need to be used.

Watching you hit the kerbs on entry and exit to Eau Rouge... do they upset the car much or literally just jiggle the suspension a bit?

On 1 lap, first flying lap with coldish rears I did catch a small slide at the top of eau rouge, but once warm it is just a jiggle. It is important to just be as straight as possible across the kerb to minimise the upset.

Now just think how much faster you could have gone if you didn't have that old fashioned gearbox biggrin
