Hotel in Cotswolds
Discussion
Stayed twice at Lords of the Manor near Bourton on the Water. Cracking cream teas, but better evening food and secluded walled garden at rear on way to walled car park although could be getting a bit late in this fantastic winter for eating out. Can stroll to BotW via country walk ... Or drive your mum in ;-)
Been there 10 years ago and 2 years ago and standards had not slipped. Great room at front overlooking drive and down valley. Stayed there for a friends wedding somewhere else in the far-flung Cotswolds and the night porter made us Marmite toasties and kept us well watered through til way too late. Great staff.
The Three Ways House Hotel, Mickleton near Chipping Campden. Maybe not the place you should stay but worth visit on a Friday night if the Pudding Club is in session!

The Manor House in Moreton in the Marsh has lovely rooms, great food and a barrier controlled car park.
I know I already mentioned the Manor too but I would just like to add that their group (Cotswold Inns & Hotels) has, this week, won 2012-2013 AA Small Hotel Group of the Year!gpb1 said:
