What he means is a nice contrasting interior is nice. Personally I would ALWAYS go for Iron Ore as an interior over black. Not so keen on black - would rather have meteorite.

I like it, interior colour included. That rich brown looks much more contemporary than the black in my 9's interior and other colours referenced. It looks a very similar brown to some Italian leather furniture that the wife bought earlier in the year.....sorry, didn't mean to go OT, thought it might be relevant in setting the car's interior mood!

Going to be interested in whether they're wrong calling it Iron Ore (which is very dark red) as a few of us seem to think its Bitter Chocolate!

Please update us OP...

looks like a good buy....also buying from a Merc dealership would give me some comfort......As its a one owner car speak to the last owner or get the details from the service book and have a chat with the servicing dealership. No Satnav wouldn't bother me in the slightest......Ive never used mine......I owner car with 27k miles for 31k sounds like good value

I'd imagine it wouldn't be too expensive to have the interior retrimmed if it was an issue or for those guys bored with black only interiors to add some colour highlights to it?

Well you weren't sure and fate has a way of taking a hand in matters. My money is on you finding the car you really do want in the not too distant future. It's out there somewhere.

3500 for a full retrim, about 900 for partial (door cards and seat squabs).

It does look like a low spec car but I really like the colour combination. The interior looks more like a black cherry interior I had on my first Vantage and that was a really nice place to be. I did not think PB fascia came in until the 420bhp cars but could be wrong and the close up picture of the starter button looks like there are a few swirl marks on the fascia. Make sure you check it out carefully because replacing it is expensive - I know to my cost. You need to see it with sunlight on or under torchlight to see the imperfections. Have fun with the search!!!

Can convert to piano black from wood for a couple of hundred squids - it's just high gloss paint and lacquer.

Easy to buy a replacement from AMbits or eBay as well.

Personally prefer the more colourful interior vs black.

If you're in no rush then you'll get even better deals from dealers in the last few weeks in the year. Pot luck if right spec car is available at the time though.

Yes it is, but it wasn’t >just< a carpet colour; according to Grant’s book.

It was also a contemporary option leather colour, available up to MY09.

I’ve seen it on a DB9 and beautiful it is too. All irrelevant in the context of this thread though.

Well I went to view the car today and have report that I was very disappointed with car, putting the interior colour to one side for a moment, the car as very poorly presented, wheels damaged, leather scuffed on door cards, around the ignition key area, handbrake gaitor and generally looked scruffy and unloved, carpets were not even vacuumed !!!! Exterior had a few car park dings and clearly had not been mopped, loads of car wash micro scratches.

Interior colour was iron ore according to the Aston Martin spec sheet, it did however look much darker to me.

It may have been a one owner, low mileage car, but it did not look like it.

Onwards and upwards
