To be honest, I've been looking at 993 Turbos...if I'm to put £20k in at least it will hold its value and it's a beautiful car.
Not if you drive it, and surely it will be out of Warranty, running costs are high on a 993. You will also be battling against rust.To be honest, I've been looking at 993 Turbos...if I'm to put £20k in at least it will hold its value and it's a beautiful car.

I agree with Adam in that the change to a 4.7 is significant, especially if it's a 4.7 with the Sports Pack. About the 993 Turbo, they're fantastic. My 993 is a Carrera, not a Turbo, but I've had it since 2000 and it has been superb. Extremely reliable, beautifully built when Porsche was still an engineering company first and a marketing company second -- now it's the other way around -- and a great drive. It is certainly not a new car, but that's very much a part of the appeal.
