I've found fairy liquid can be a bit harsh and strips the wax off the freshly Polished paintwork, Persil seems to be much kinder.
I'm hoping that is a joke
Persil has enzymes in it that will dissolve aluminium long after it's removed the wax!
Suppose you're going to say carbolic's no good either. Some people are just soo picky rolleyes
laughyes I wonder if this might help for reapplying the wax wink

I'm now also questioning what sort of gasses I should inflate the tyres with. If I go for Helium, would that decrease the unsprung weight thereby improving handling?

So many questions
That's an easy one....Hot air is not only the most suitable..... There's a surplus of it on PHyes

Perhaps we should also think about washer jet design given that:

The interior water pool of aerosol OT (AOT) reverse micelles tends toward bulk water properties as the micelle size increases. Thus, deviations from bulk water behavior in large reverse micelles are less expected than in small reverse micelles. Probing the interior water pool of AOT reverse micelles with a highly charged decavanadate (V10) oligomer using 51V NMR spectroscopy shows distinct changes in solute environment. For example, when an acidic stock solution of protonated V10 is placed in a reverse micelle, the 51V chemical shifts show that the V10 is deprotonated consistent with a decreased proton concentration in the intramicellar water pool. Results indicate that a proton gradient exists inside the reverse micelles, leaving the interior neutral while the interfacial region is acidic*. blahblabla

I wonder if this affects the ability of the soapy solution to act as a detergent. scratchchinlaugh

On a (semi)serious note, helium molecules are far too small, they'd escape fairly quickly, even through the metal of the wheel! Nitrogen molecules are the largest and most stable within operating temperatures...

Helium resonates your vocal chords at a differet frequency (makes your voice squeaky).

Nitrous Oxide makes you laugh smile

Farting makes me laugh. The resultant gas is however most unsuitable for filling tyres.
This probably explains why I love drinking beer and eating curry.

I would suspect it is the filling of the tyre that is more the problem wink

As I can apparently tighten wheel nuts up with my buttocks, I'm sure filling a tyre with brown gas presents few challengessmile

Don't know why everyone doesn't use this:

http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RX1672?utm_sou...

Won't boil, so no pressure in the cooling system (hoses last longer) and won't corrode the internals.

Need to make sure all the water's out of the system first tho.
