Oh dear Michael.
Quite ungentlemanly language from you on our esteemed Aston forum.
Could it be that your frustration is due to you not visiting my Ladyboys for a few months ?
Are you a masochist ?
I only ask because you say "I can't wait to drive one".
You have confided in me that you're skint, having exhausted the money from your wife's inheritance,so you could not possibly afford to buy it.
ha ha ha .....she could buy a DB11 with the weekly income on her investments (maybe monthly income) but I'm very very poor ............give the Ladyboys my very kindest regards and tell them i will visit soon !! xxQuite ungentlemanly language from you on our esteemed Aston forum.

You know that I am far too polite about such matters, Tony.
I did drop a hint earlier though.
'In comparison to the interiors of our cars, with the 'watchmakers' instruments, the DB11 does look much the same as many other high end cars of today. If that is what new buyers want though, then it has to be provided.'
The new interior design has two benefits;
1. It provides the 2016 buyers with what they want, including snazzy TV screen pretend instruments, and a stuck-on afterwards tablet computer screen.
2. It makes the 'old' Astons look very classy, which greatly pleases the present owners.
Perfect -

I can't believe anyone has not picked up on the cheapness of the interior....yes it all looks great...but it's chromed plastic...Jesus..look at the vents.....the knob looks like something from my dads ford escort mk1.......
I raised that in Geneva and was told they are pre-production cars and will change. Little Donkey said:

Did anyone tell you what level of production these models represented? Will the tv screen will actually be more sympathetically placed into the final design for example? It would be encouraging if all our concerns - like the awkward strake - had already been addressed and will be fixed at the final version.
I'm not that worried however, it is still a thing of beauty to me even at this level.

What you see is what you get. As I said earlier some of the fittings are pre production. It would be encouraging if all our concerns - like the awkward strake - had already been addressed and will be fixed at the final version.

double bks .........the DB11 makes our 9"s look like something from the 1980's ....it is a totally fabulous car and I can't wait to drive one
I'm curious to see one in the flesh but judging by the photos, I'll agree that it looks a lot more modern. However I don't agree that is necessarily better. For me I prefer the relatively simple but beautiful lines of the DB9 rather than the modern, overly aggressive, overly fussy DB11. hornbaek said:
I agree. The interior is a let down. The stuck-on screen and the vents is just not up to Aston standard. Also the digital speedo looks too much like Volvo to me. "pass"
Yup, I think they are trying to copy the Fiat 500 Fiat 500

Well myself and Mrs Maximus just saw it tonight at Grange Welwyn. And EVEN the wife was impressed with it. She said it was the best Aston she's seen so far.
I thought it looked absolutely stunning in silver. And I don't understand the negativity of the interior. Those seats - wow. And the marble look dash and side door interior.
It still has the bespoke quality to it in my opinion. It's definitely an Aston Martin but a more modern aggressive looking one. Loved the wing mirror design and of course that clamshell bonnet. When that opened up it caused such a stir amongst everyone there...
Now just need to persuade the wife...

Also I am told those silver strakes/fins on the bonnet vents are "options"... But would we assume not especially popular?
I must confess - it did, as stated before, remind me a little of the Chrysler Crossfire !
I think it is the lines on the bodywork... And the slightly "disconnected" cabin?
Oh dear, never mind... Just don't park next to one ;-)
See page 127 of the photo thread for more photos of DB11.

Just been to see it in the flesh. Looks amazing, nicely aggressive, powerful stance. Loved the bonnet, loved the view through the boot down the air blade vents
Only slight disappointment is the rear room doesn't look materially better than the db9 (maybe just a little more head clearance)
I can see these doing very well
