Weird about you guys not noticing differences, in my N420 it is really noticeable. I sometimes like to keep them stock, so I know at 3100 RPM I will get "the bang".

Makes me think that those who aren’t noticing a difference might well have the pipes set permanently to loud with blocked up pipes.

Clive at CCC reckons he’s even found golf tees in the pipes so seems like a common occurrence.

My fob and unit are in the post back to Clive to get upgraded to the memory unit. Looks to be the perfect solution as it remembers what the setting was when you last switched off the engine.

When I had my late 4.7 Vantage I also didn't think there was much difference but once I had the secondary cats off it was big difference especially with a sports backbox

So would advise trying with secondary decat first before going for different back box as some may find that too loud, myself I loved it

Back my my original post (quoted below), does anyone know how I might go about doing the 3-way switch myself?

Would also be interested in any photos of the BR installed switches which I understand are usually placed quite discretely in the driver footwell

I know Bamford Rose install these as part of their standard equipment but has anyone fitted this themselves and/or able to share a guide/instructions? I'd love to have a 3-way exhaust valve switch to flip between 1) always closed, 2) factory default and 3) always open.

I installed the CC Charger remote switch at the weekend. Took a couple of minute to install. Nice remote control for valve in normal operation or permanently open. Dead easy and no hard wiring needed. Would definitely Recommend. https://www.cccharger.co.uk/

When I transferred my CC switch from my 4.3 to my new to me 4.7 I was surprised that I couldn't hear any difference until I realised that the previous owner had cable tied the valves open. Snipped the cables and the switch worked perfectly again.

Anybody ever figure this out? I thought I knew (switch between open/12V/computer at fuse 15/22), but in looking at the wiring diagram it appears that this fuse is B+ and the computer control happens at the ground for the valve solenoid. So you'd have to switch between open/gnd/computer if that's true, and there isn't a nice simple place like the fusebox to do so.

So, anybody done it? Or am I completely wrong?

I installed one a few years back. I decided to splice into the valve control wire in the drivers footwell.
Awkward to get at, but saved running a cable to the rear fuse box.

Three way switch fitted into the steering column cowl.

Near where the seat adjustment controls are located, the centre console overhangs the carpeted centre tunnel slightly. Therefore there is room underneath and at the edge of the centre console, for a 3- position rocker switch. Can easily feel the switch, but it would only be visible if you lower your head into the footwell.

I don't know how the wiring would be done, to hold the valves closed permanently.

Great. Exactly what I was looking for. Now to figure out where exactly C2243 is on a US spec car (whether it's on the driver side or the right side of the car)

Thanks

amv12 mentioned 'but saved running a cable to the rear fuse box'.
Therefore, if wiring a switch into fuse 22 (or 15 on later cars), it would only provide either OEM or Always Open settings.
So how can the valves be kept in the constant closed position, which is what you said you want?

Use a three position Switch.

3 positions - connected as normal (i.e. ECU controlling ground) and it will open st idle and above 4000rpm)

- open circuit, the valve will always be open - Loud

- permanently connected to ground, the Valve will never open - quiet mode

If you look at his wiring diagram, it's switching ground, not power. So connected as is = normal, open circuit = always loud, always grounded = always quiet

Phuket Paul was looking at your pics on the 3-way switch and you said the connector is on the right side of the car but you's shows the left side?

Also I am not sure if the 2007 sports pack models onwards had different connectors, but I do not see a similar connector with a white wire and my connectors are grey not black, though there is a green one.

Any help from anyone is appreciated please.

Was yours similar to Phuket Paul's?
or a grey connector as well, mine is a UK car, so on the right/drivers side footwell, but totally different wires, don't see a white one like the ones above.

Also how do you remove those clips!
