Are you able to elaborate on the issues with the diff? Is there a lot of friction within it that absorbs power?
Possibly. its a big old antiquated lump. However I have read somewhere that the biggest problem was ZF refused to change their 5 speed box's internal gubbins to match the available final drive ratios. What with AM being a tiny niche customer they just had to accept this.. The end result is that revs/1000 is a tad high for a cruiser, which also hurts economy. If anyone wants it I have the full DB7 Vantage technical / product training manual used to train dealers and technicians on the car. I just need the P&P covering from Switzerland hence please PM me if interested.
In ‘99 I did a summer placement at Bloxham l, one of my side jobs was producing a light French version of the manual for local dealers for the then new car.
It covers all the technical specs, how each system is designed and functions, servicing procedures, diagnostics (codes, diagnosis, repairs, wiring diagrams etc etc. probably 700 pages worth. It’s sat in my cellar so better it goes to someone who would benefit from it.

Bonjour, would you still have a copy of the French version of the manual ?In ‘99 I did a summer placement at Bloxham l, one of my side jobs was producing a light French version of the manual for local dealers for the then new car.

I try to gather all documents covering my DB7.
Thank you DB4DM for the suggestion, and Oilit for the offer. I emailed AMHT just now to see if they’d like it and if yes, I will do it. Oilit it would be churlish to ask you to cover this for the greater good so why don’t just we split the difference?
SS972, sorry I don’t have the French version, it was a long time ago, and equally apologies to any French owners if they ever had any bad experiences through poorly translated dealer materials![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
