Would the mileage put you off and is the interior colour, which I like, risky. It would be my first dip into AM ownership and want a car that will sell easily if I change my mind

Mileage wouldn't put me off, put then I'm not a first time Aston buyer - can see it would put some people off. But not as much as the marmite interior. That would put me off - but can see some people liking it as its not the standard black / black interior.

What about seats, I notice they changed the seats for the MY07 cars to what looks like are still fitted now. I have heard people complain about the seats giving them a bad back.

Newer seats are versions of the DBS seat
I find the very comfortable with heated seats and two lumbar supports
A few too many adjustments but once the best position is found use the memory button!

It now looks like the Black one is also sold as I sent an email, had no reply as yet but noticed it has been taken off the AM and Autotrader web sites. Frustrating that they don't seem to bother keeping them up to day nor have the curtesy to phone - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate car dealers

Any thoughts on this one - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2397208.htm

Got your email, thanks but I think were are not in the same budget

love that colour.seems fine.don't let anyone put you off the more leggy cars because if looked after that engine is faultless.i've done 36000 in mine and haven't had a whisper of a problem.this has been the best car i have ever owned by a country mile and relatively cheap to maintain even through the dealer network.i'm still on my first clutch and there isn't even a hint of wear on it.follow the basics of never revving hard from cold, don't ride the clutch, sticking to the service schedules etc. and i don't see why these cars wouldn't run into the hundreds of thousands of miles.bogie who posts in here has done 60 odd thousand in his v8 already with no issues to speak of.
get it bought and be done with it!

I now know what its like to be a woman looking for shoes, you know, first shop shoes are perfect but insists on spending the rest of the day looking at others only to go back to the first shop and buy the ones you saw first smilesmile

Anyway to the point, I am going to have a better look at the red car at Glendale. Its £39990 and they have offered £19k agaist my car. Their car includes 6 month tax So the cost to change including 1 yr AM warranty would be £22K

The best the dealer can do so far, which is better than their previous attempt which now has me in a quandry

Their car is Metior with Black interior and jsut about the same spec as the red car except its an 07/07 car with 39000 miles but at £42000. They have offered £18 for my car so the cost to change would be £24K

dont get hung up on mileage too much. Astons have 10K or 12 month service intervals, unlike other high end sportscars, because they are designed to be driven ...and the engines are relatively unstressed...

so 10K miles a year is no issue on a 4 year old car smile

dont forget other advantages about having an "Older" car - cheap road tax is pre March 2006 ...not that a couple of hundred quid a year should sway your decision too much on something that does 18mpg, but still, another thing to be aware of if you see 2 cars and one is June 06 and the other February for similar price

Somethinj just not right about the car, call it gut instinct

I am starting to feel like this is not meant to be as I have seen an other car which I love at a dealer, more expensive but its an MY07 so a year yonger with 25K miles, drove muck better in the colour I like with the interior colour I like but they are offering a very low ball price on my car due to it not having a full porsche service history, needing two rear tyres and there being a scratch on the bonnet.

So I am wondering wether I just take the hit on the part ex and put it down to experience and go and buy my dream car or wether I throw my toys out the pram and go tell the dealer to stick it
